Kev Mac jus put me on game. I thought OPP was either "other people's property" or "other people's p***y".... It's really "OTHER PEOPLE'S PIGEONS " 😂😂😂 💯
Man great story big homie Kev Mac; I really laughed out loud when you said yo bird was in the suitcase my older cuzsin used to do me like that when we were youngins 😂. When I was in Middle school I used to make some extra money taking care of my ppl birds in Lynwood Big Gunho from Pope St he was in Non Stop Rollers Club I believe. Man them red tail hawks used to sit on the bricc walls waiting to catch a pigeon slipping. Lol Man I and many of us appreciate and live through your stories like a great book 📖. Praise be to the Most High that alot of us that were involved in this street life can still be here to looc bacc and laugh, cry, shake out head's and smile at these memories. May the Most High continue to bless you and yours big homie your presence, knowledge, wisdom your reputation without any smut is the definition of being a solid Loc and big homie but more importantly a Man. Salute to all sides ✌🏽👍🏽🙏🏽
Man, I remember going with my big brother(guppy) over to Red Wing on Alameda and Florence buying pigeons. All that sawdust on the ground when you walk in.
Yeah, i had some redwing pigeons back in 1977 when i was 13 years old living on the Eastside. 82nd and Hooper. I,m 60 years old now and living in the valley and have two lofts of of deep spinners. And a game Pitbull in the back yard now. Cali hood culture? For sure. Tripped off the story about Moose. The only 37 G/C I ever met. Enjoyed your content.
Here in Dublin Ireland we all had racing pigeons and we had lovely Lofts and our own club in our neighbourhood, we love pigeons Kev and I agree with you some of my best childhood memories are with my friends and there pigeon Lofts, I spent hours going around Dublin trying to snare other people's birds to make a breeding loft , Jesus's you bringing me right back to my childhood. Great story mate. 🇮🇪💯
Your brother cold! 😂😂😂😂 He didn't have 2 do your pigeon like that! But that yellow suitcase had 2 go come on bruh! 😂😂🐦🐦🐦🐦 Great video Kev Mac! I love pigeons & pits!
Amazing video Kev it was really refreshing to hear you talk about your Adolescence in your childhood and it is true that raising any type of livestock or pet will change your outlook on a lot of things especially having empathy for another brother or even a pet thanks Kev that was refreshing
I feel you Kev Mac my big bro was the same way..That Cat kept me on my toes with that tough love..2 yrs. older but I always held my own.. Good stories you got mane..Keep doing ya thang..Funky Town Tx...Living in Dago Ca..
I like this one Kev , your fascination with pigeons, is similar to me when I got into pits. Being from Texas we are big on dogs and roosters. I was always curious about the west coast pigeon culture. Friday and training day was the only thing that shredded light on the culture in LA
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ Growing up in the Low Bottoms, I remember one of my younger Relatives talk about going to "hit cages" in the mid to late 80's. He ended up building a big cage on the side of our house that we would sometimes use as a little club house with enough room for about 4 of us.
There’s still some Big Dawgs flying in the West side. One of the things I enjoy about our hobby is that we have people from all across the board. Mexican, Cholos, Crips, Bloods, White and Asians and everyone gets along! Thanks for the clip KM
I enjoyed this story, I hope you build that big cage and get back into the hobby one day and share it with us, it sounds interesting, but I think it would be waay cooler to see it in action
Growing up in SoCal all my buddies including myself had crazy hobbies. Gun collecting. Low Riding & Hydraulics. Flipping pigeons. Gold and Silver stacking. Moving around the country I realized every region had they own hobbies.
You ever had some of them “feather-foot pigeons”? Used to really enjoy watching the older homies raise & flip pigeons. Always wanted to raise’m too. Expensive hobby. In 87/88 older dude Chris from 62 HPB (RIP) had a nice cage and gave us knowledge on pigeons. Great story Kev.
I had a all white roller with muffs before I strayed in. It was young and turned out to be a good bird. My uncle didn't used to say the rollers with muffs were no good until mine got older.
I am originally from South Phoenix born and raised they call it little HELL.A. What I miss most is walking behind the houses in them alleys that signature Mark of the West Coast. I can still smell it in the air. I live on the east coast now and I can tell you there's nothing like the West I really do miss it. Every time I go back to PHX , or Palmdale Lancaster or Los Angeles it still feels like home. Thats where my real family is anyway. I Just miss it.
Ron Dent, and Frank Potts both lived around the corner from you Kev. My Pops Ronnie Mac RIP, Cornell Norwood RIP, Keith Wynn RIP, Keith London, Butch, Speedy, J bone, Big Hilly, Lil Rat, Kev Mac Brother.... just to name a few all legends in the Pigeon game. BCRC is one of the best clubs. Also, the Lopez line were great birds 🐦
Green Eye Keithstone originally off the east side bought his pigeons from Cornell Norwood. Stone had some nice birds. Did Frank Potts live up the hill in Windsor Hills?
I still have some of my pops stuff plus papers on some of his old birds....like Cigar was a black checc baldhead with white tips. He produced some of the coldest birds. Keith Wynn was known for his Red Checcs. Another's were Ordale and Donnie Norwood
My big bro was cold hearted too, lol, and he'd never say too much, just react with violence or stfu or get tf out my room, lol. I don't blame my big bro, but I feel like if we were cooler i wouldn't have looked for other brothers in the streets, crazy how life is
Yes, the pitbull & pigeon culture is big in SCLA, for some reason it coincides with the HUSTLE GAME. The EASTSIDE got the best birds though , I seen birds doing like 50ft rolls. Most WLA cats get they birds from WATTS and Compton. I know, my people were big time breeders.
WLA is different than the westside of south central. We in WLA didn’t have or know about pigeons until a cat from 92nd and hoover moved over round Pico and Fairfax and brought them. Lol. WLA was late in the whole game.
I’m am someone very interested in World War II history and I also am very curious about gang banging culture. It’s crazy how Big Kev is so similar in his thorough examination of gang subject matter to an Ivy League historian who I watch here on RUclips on the subject of World War II. I don’t know if people quite understand how good we got things with Kev mac!
One my childhood friends pops raised pigeons. Used go over there & see all them pigeons in the cage. We all lived near Dorsey & Virginia Road elementary. Enjoyed that story Kev Mac.
Nah Big Kev this was definitely exciting lol! you brought me back to memories of me and my siblings raising chickens in Miami. My neighbor built a coop kind of apartment and had mad chickens. I'm going to do some research on pigeons now i see the passion you have for them.
My dad had pigeons wen we stay on 89th in broadway back in mid 80s I believe he had some penson birds cuz he used to tell us they always used to steal his birds (hit his cage) he still got some still til day out in the desert 🌵 now good story bro
Wow! Kev I swear you should make your true stories in to Tubi app movies! You can hire some people from your old and new communities... Man you got it all from stories to photo pictures 😎💯
I had some beautiful birds homers fantails tumblers I had a pair of Morehead tumblers some rollers but I lived on the city line in W. Baltimore. You have to have security.🤔
YESSIR i believe big bro Craig Monson said he an his buddy would go to his buddy's house climb on the roof an go into the garage from the roof because the pigeon coop was in the garage.

I raise pigeons for one month The guy i Bought my Birds from When I let my birds up they kept flying back to his cage Then he Resell the birds to Somebody else He was ripping off the neighborhood kids
My relative Joe Rat rip from 60s had me raising pigeons on the west side in the 20s. I had a few homies raising pigeons also and alot of my older homies used to come over to watch. A few of them raised pigeons when they were younger so they were interested. Joe taught me how to breed and i would get supplies from Boones feed store in Compton off Alameda and El Segundo. We also got birds from a Og from 83 before but i forgot his name. He also used to steal pigeons from some older dudes in the VNGs when he was younger.
Their is BIG MONEY in birds. I seen a brother pocketing $300 000 a year just stud fee's and eggs. Madnes. Exotic Pitbulls going for 10 to $15 000 for pup. Animal game is out their.... you just need love for them.
Idk bruh…this shit kinda hurt my heart. The suitcase AND the pigeon!?! That slick how u brought the suitcase back around. I was wondering how u we’re gonna tie that back in…good work.
Another dope story. It ties in the gang culture and LA culture altogether. A lot of your interviews don’t really bring up the pigeons they usually go right into when they came off the porch. We want to know about your up bringing and hobbies and some details or stories that goes along with it. I’d personally like to hear more about some baseball stories or some more details about the low riders. #kmvideos #machead
