Our steer got in my garden last year four days before our annual 4th of July and fireworks party where we invite upwards of 100 people. It was right as the garden was about to explode in wildness. It’s absolutely devastating.
Hey Jill we are going to buy several of your books for family and friends to give as gifts for this upcoming holiday season. Our little channel is growing fast and we really are inspired by watching your channel. Many blessing to you and your family, Rochelle
So glad they are coming back. I feel your pain! My hubby surprised me with a helper to get my weed eating caught up, and while I was inside making lunch, he cut down so many flowers I had around the yard...even my new elderberry shoots! But thankfully some things are coming back. But I am still so thankful for the help. Before he comes again, I will be sure to mark things that don't need cutting!!
What a beautiful story! Providing care and love makes for strong roots and those plants are coming back!!!! I felt your heartache Jill. Glad it is turning around.
Such great news! I am currently enrolled in the 1,000 Hour Herbal Immersion Program with Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, but I have also done a class with Herbal Academy, it's a great school!
Such a wonderful blessing of faith Jill. Could I pretty lease ask if you could show us your drying peg board? Or if you've shown it in another video and I've missed it could you please tell me where to look? Many many thanks xx
When you dry your calendula put your blooms on a rack that gets air flow under it as well as through it. Put blooms face down to start then in about ten days turn them as best you can the other way- face up. I have never had a problem drying them this way. Keeps the most medicinal properties. Happy Gardening!!
I'm so excited about your pink dandelion! I've wanted to try those from Baker creek but I haven't been brave enough. I hope to see what yours look like.
That coneflower is so beautiful. Love the resilience of some plants and very happy for you that you have so many beautiful things growing despite the setback!
I air dry my calendula on a tea towel laid out on my grow shelves. It takes about 3 days; first day face down to keep them open and the next two face up. They do take longer if I let them close before drying - 5 days or so.
Jill you are the Queen of prunning!! The Sheep being watching you all along ... so they decided to lend a hand I mean a mouth lol ....good thing happened to good people!! God is always good to those who love Him!
Good morning Jill❤❤❤❤❤ FINALLY took the time yesterday to go up & sign up for the Beginning Herb classes! Going to be doing the Bundle all the way through the business class!❤❤❤❤

My echinacea is growing so slow! What do you recommend for stunted plants! They were sown back in February and they have not flowered yet!😢 I will show more but I wanted to harvest for medicinal purposes!
The cottage garden still looks amazing! ❤ Not sure if you’ll see this.. but what’s the best way to start echinacea? I had never heard of pink dandelion and after watching your videos I ordered two packets of seeds.. I've not planted yet trying to figure out where to put them but am very excited about them.. Do they have the same benefits of the yellow wild dandelion?

My fall garden got ate by my goat. I had a lot of greens an she ate everything!! Down to stalks !!!😢 I hope she don't get in mi spring summer garden!! If she does...😤
She was fat an happy an it was disappointing but I got tomatoes on the Vine now and she learned her lesson an don't go near my garden now but my pig loves the tomato leaves. He's to big to get in my raised bed thank God!! Or he would live in them. My animals run wild more then I can tame but I wouldn't get rid of them for nothing!! I hope y'all have a great day!! And the cottage garden is bouncing back,so glad some of it made it!!

Have you had your soil tested?
@@WhisperingWillowFarm No I have not can you get those for free?
When it comes to air drying, I think a small room with a dehumidifier would be a good idea.
Great idea
My Mamaw has one of.those basket and as a child I thought it was for magazines, lol
😂 I can see that also
We had one my mom used for magazines 😊

If you are having low germination rates, definitely try stratifying the seeds. This can help a lot!
I would definitely start in cups and transplant. Hopefully you will get good germination
Yay recovery! Chickens just got into mine :(
Oh no 😢
@@WhisperingWillowFarm yeah. I'm about to be sole duck farm

Yes it will on some varieties
