Here are some tips for randoms.
Unless you play with a 5 man squad, bring a build that can shoot. It’s selfish to monopolize the paint
Never flop on the ground after a play.
Never get 3 in the key intentionally.
Never stand out of bounds to force a turnover.
Consider yourself a competitor. Take pride in what you do. Sabotaging is what a petulant child does. If your build is useless without the ball, then go make a different build. All of my builds can block, board, steal, etc. I don’t have to have the ball to be a threat. I’ll lock up my counterpart and fill up the stat sheet whether I’m up 20 or down 20.
Facts bro! People be thinking the only way to enjoy the game is through scoring. I always make I have defence on all my builds so the game still fun without having the ball like you mentioned, rebounds steals etc
As the big I don’t think it’s necessary to have a shot but it opens up things on the floor definitely
@@clintmalone7794 i think it is because alot of bigs can’t shoot and are useless on offense not everyone likes screens so having a shot should definitely be required. (If you play by yourself with randoms)
@@GordonDRamsay I have like 6 builds all pf an center types an my 7’3 inside big does well by himself but I totally understand your logic it makes a ton of sense. No matter if I can shoot or not I just make sure to try an nullify my matchup.

There needs to be a matchmaking system, level based or win pct. The difference in skill and experience from one random to next is just crazy

Vote to kick is the answer to toxic REC randoms. I remember having the feature in Rainbow Six: Vegas back in the day, it worked so well. If I get voted out the game by 4 other players, I just have to accept that maybe they saw a reason to all agree that they'd be better off with my AI. I think the feature actually urges players to communicate, "Yo, my bad, don't kick me!"

But then you’ll have those squads (bcs we know 2k is not making a random/solo or squad rec at all) that’ll vote to quick the random so they can play the way they want to

I’d say the worst part of it all is being a rec solo player I shoot 65% from 3 but never get the ball and have to deal with people trying to iso on the wing and running into the corner trapping me there giving me no space to move messing up the spacing for the whole tram

I literally just block the score board on my TV with my son's Nintendo switch lol. and try and just play for personal grade. I'm not that great at this game tbh. I'm like bronze/silver.
I usually get a b+ or so. And I just grind it out. I really don't even get mad anymore. My son enjoys watching me play and to him I am a star player lmao 😅
For me it's worth this season because my son loves walking around the city as a mascot

I swear 2K touched match making this week. Ofc randoms will be bad it’s rec randoms but this week I’ve been getting bottom of the barrel randoms and the opposite is full of sweaty gamers. Win percent dropped from 81 to 65 only this week.
😂 it’s the summer rec noobs hopping on the game. 2k does like a 85% discount on the game to attract new player around the summer so it make sense. The main issue is getting matched with the sweats, it’s almost an impossible game to win

I’m the SG and yeah if you were not there it’s absolutely gonna be blow out. About the squad i just met them on the lobby we played this one and only game so I don’t really know them. 2k must make rec for randoms only while pro-am for squads. I love playing with randoms against randoms but usually i will face squad that’s why i joined with squad. As I said in my message great game great channel always love to watch your vids
Thanks bro and appreciate the honesty. I get it too, it’s way too risk going solo because there’s a high chance the other probably joined up in the lobby but I do agree. 2k needs to find a way to make rec randoms vs randoms to make it fair and all squads should go to the pro am
Rec randoms are bad now but they’re 10x better then they were on past 2ks. It use to be strictly old heads who didn’t understand any mechanics of the game, all they could do was spot up with builds that couldn’t shoot, crowd the paint or play bad defense. Now most games I play pretty everyone can shoot a lil bit and understand spacing somewhat and play a bit more defense.
I’ve got an positive W-L ratio as PG only playing with randoms, that’s never happened for me on any 2k before.
I think the builder helps. For me, these are the worst randoms I’ve played with in my 5 years of playing 2k. Previously a lot of guys were capped with the archetype system to do 2 things or 1 but on this game, you can create a Demi god with freedom but guys still bad. I just don’t get it
Randoms can be so annoying. Last night had a competitive game and it was only competitive because 2 players on my team just would stop playing randomly and then miss fading contested 3s when they got the ball. My man only scored when I had to come over and pick up their man. Then at the end of the game when we were down three one clown gets a out of bounds violation and a 5 second call on the next possession for not in bounding the ball. It was ridiculous.
I don’t know why they all do the same thing though😂. I’m sure they can see what other players are doing
Okay so here are my takeaways : 1) you’re pretty darn good at playing your game . They didn’t deserve you 😂 2) Those are the shakiest “GOATS” I’ve ever seen . One person keeping a whole team in a game is unacceptable . Definitely stream . I’ll pull up . Randoms in the Rec damn near be giving me anxiety . Lastly , the word we use for “flabbergasted” in America , well one of them is BLEW . Cuz that game woulda blew tf outta me😂😂😂 keep doing your thing ! Dope content .
😂😂 thanks bro! I’ll keep that word for next time. Yeah the GOATs on this game are fake stats lol which is why they need to sort out the matchmaking for the next 2k. I streamed privately to test it out, need to tweak a few things and the plan is to stream almost everytime I hop on the game

Flip side, you get what you think are good randoms and you win a game or two and then you find out they are complete 💩. So I’ll most likely stay a random unless I’m with some irl’s. Once I start hooping with someone I’m not tryna have ppl rage quitting or bitchin the whole time or doing just completely dumb ish. Randoms are bad, but ppl changing up is worse.
This is always the one especially when you run into a decent team. Their playstyle changes all of a sudden and you’re like “bruh should have played like this from game one so I know you bad”

I love the way they don’t pass the ball, play no D, miss all the shots, turn the ball over many times and they are playing at least a guard and a center (or more) so they can play +2 vs 5. After it’s a 30 point game, they quit and leave you alone with 4 ais against 5 sweats with a 30+ point difference. And 2k actually asks us to pay money to this game. Crazy. Saying this for years, it shouldn’t be that hard to make an efficient matching system 2k…

I played yesterday also with Ven and he played pretty good. He just doesn't shoot 3s but played good defence. Played also with ItalyStallion and this guy was also taking dumb shots when i played with him. REC became so much shit show for me lately. I'm playing with randoms all the time and when they see at the beginning that someone is shooting over 60% from 3 they just quiting at the start of the game. 1/3 of the games i played this season someone is leaving at the start. This pissing me off the most.
Italy was the biggest sellout there😂. The rest were trying to be fair but Italy was on another level. Yeah the matchmaking needs to be fixed for 2k24 because it’s getting out of hand

I was in a game earlier, this guy went 2-18 he kept trying to dunk on 3 ppl consistently. We had 2 bots on our team so he would spam for the ball. We were close until the 4th quarter.
