when my mom lost her stuff that was I. storage to mold, she had two pair pants and three same shirts only for ten years..she said that clothes are expensive and even charity at that time could not help.....talk about living frugal

I'm curious about the investing side. I know this podcast was focused on rental income for early retirement. They had maxed 401k , but 401k can't really be used until 59 1/2. What alternatives are there to the reliance on rental income for early retirement cash flow?
