Yeah the panning does add an extra bit of fun factor... even if it's only 90 degree. Tower has never impacted me... i'm 868 TBS and I've also flown 2.4g control in the next field over with no issues. Not sure what that tower is doing tbh but I just know it's never given me problems
Nothing beats low stratus dissolving after a rain. I have cloud surfed even UMX models in those conditions, and I suspect those shenanigans even bordered on legal from time to time. A few years ago, when I was out of models and had to make do with full size planes, I loved to take off my light twin through those conditions filing IFR. But a GA7 goes through them too fast for a slow witted guy like myself. Stick to FPV for maximum enjoyment, and thanks for the ride!
@@WompFPV How do you controll the camera without head tracker? When I had 3 channel plane I assigned pan to the stick where rudder usually is and found that a bit annoying.
@@mac16a hey man, I use the pot on my taranis to control the pan servo, I just set up a new mixer rule and set the input for the servo to be the pot (which ever channel is it on your radio). Painless360 has a video of how to do it too :)
Hi Adam, as always, your posts are premium quality. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I'm curious to hear more about your OSD and firmware being used. Is this a Swordfish specific firmware (i'm sure forked from an open source firmware like iNav or AP)? Also what kind of distances are you getting our of your TrueRC X2s antennas?
Hi, and thanks. The FW for iNav is just generic 6.1.1. The fonts are 'Sneaky_FPV' which you can find here: sites.google.com/view/sneaky-fpv/home The X2 airs will get you to the 13km hard limit no problem, maybe even on full bitrate. I did a demo here up to 12km while only a few meters from the ground: ruclips.net/video/y6TrDvWCtos/видео.html
Hello Adam! awsome video, and you fly in a beautiful country! Here in Brittany, bad weather and can't make the maiden with the new Swordfish. I noticed that I have the OSD in the DJI goggle V2, Speedybee F405 wing and DJI O3, but the OSD is not recorded...It seems you have the recorded OSD with Caddx, or is there a special trick? An other problem is my pan servo doesn't move on channel 7 of the FC, yet, this is detected and the blue ribbon moves with my Tx button on the "output" page!
Thanks :) with the DJO O3 you cannot record the OSD at all with v2 goggles, only the Goggle 2 records it. On the vistas/Air units when using wtfos and sneaky fpv fonts you will see an OSD file on your goggles, you need to overlay it using the tool on the WTFOS website. Pan servo needs to be setup on the mixer tab. Cheers
Thanks :) It's a super basic design which I actually made for the O3 camera but it also works with the other cameras, especially when printed in TPU. I'll add it to Thingiverse if you want it

Great vlog pal really enjoyed the cloud surfing
Thanks for watching and for the feedback 😃
Beautiful edit thanks for sharing!
The swordfish is as excellent as it is inexpensive
Thanks :) Yeah it's a great plane suitable for all! I find myself flying it quite often.
Excelent !
Thanks 😃👍🏻
Enjoyed that matey... Isn't panning great..?....Isnt that a cell phone relay mast behind you...?...You on 2.4g control I hope, not TBS.....?...🤔😳😏😀🇬🇧

@@AdamGdoesFPV Oh good...Well UK phones are running 700 MHz as far as I know. Maybe it's enough separation...?....🤔😳😀

Haha FPV is enjoyable enough for me! Thanks for watching and commenting!
great flying man, I've also got my swordfish set up with a pan servo, the view is so nice looking down the wing :)
Thanks :) It always just makes flying a little more fun when you have a pan servo. I though the 90 degree limit would be annoying but it's fine
@@AdamGdoesFPV yeah the 90 degree angle isn't bad at all, I've got a 180 deg servo on mine but it's still decent on 90 with the angle of the lens

Great video as always Adam. Quick Q; is the stl available somewhere for the pan camera mount?

Nice work. Do you notice much interference from the cell tower?
Thanks :D No, I don't seem to get any interference from that tower at all. I don't know what it does but I know it's not bothering me haha
Funny how your altimeter dissapears at high altitudes...😂
iNav bugs hey 😅
