It's definitely at least partially the DM experience. I can do this to a degree, but it's never really believable. Brennan is a perfect case study in mindfucks.

Yeah normally the rule is to "yes, and" but in this case I think Brennan saw and opportunity and was like. "Sorry, we're going somewhere else." Josh did a good job rolling with it.

The thing that got *me* was that Josh as the Angel kept popping down when not speaking, while Brennan as the Devil just stood there the whole time. I realize that the most likely explanation is that it was just a performance choice that Josh made that Brennan didn't pick up on/mirror and then they both just committed to it, buuuuuuuuuuuut I feel like it's also an accurate representation of the relative amount of influence that each of them has lmao.

This is edited quite a bit, if I remember correctly in the original he speaks
When I saw him pop down the first time I thought Josh was going to pop back up on the other side and either join the devil, or be the devil's shoulder angel.

I just love how with him and Brennan they have both an incredibly verbose comedian who can go on immediate lengthy hilariously word salad diatribes, and someone that can match him in wit and humorous impact with just a couple or sometimes zero words. Their dichotomy in terms of styles is always a treat.
I'm so used to Brennan playing the straight man in these kinds of videos it's incredible to see him unleash chaos.
