I see a lot of people saying this season is boring. I don’t think it is but feel it is lacking something. Thought about it and the penny dropped. A bit of humour. GoT in its S01-04 pomp had many slow episodes but it always had a Tyrion wit or Sandor Clegane foul mouth to offset the morose Jon Snow or driven Daenerys. The pacing of those seasons was brilliant. The latter seasons not so much. Show runners went spectacle over plot and the show suffered. HOTD suffered in S01 because of the time jumps. Still a great watch but this season has been tedious for the most part. Just needs a bit of wit or humour. Daemon was intriguing in S01 but now he’s just on some acid trip in the house on haunted hill 😂
The actors are great. But the story is slower than it needs to be and the characters are not as exciting or charismatic as the G.O.T. characters were. Something is missing. 🤷♀️
i feel like 80% of us are here for the dragons and dragons alone i could care less about the story and what happens to each of the characters as long as i get to see the epic dragon battles mentioned in the book and so far the battle of rooks rest hit the ball out of the park if they can keep delivering that level of awe and excitement this series will continue to be a huge success
