A mental coach should never say their client is "whining" about whatever they are upset about or experiencing when talking with them. It really draws into question the credentials of this "coach".
Exactly. Anyone should realize that being subjected to that much surgery in a short time, strict diet, exercise, not being allowed to see themselves, and just recovery in general would have both physical symptoms and all kinds of emotions. A professional would work through it with them without judgement. What I can't believe is that these women weren't told that maybe now isn't the best time to have surgery since there are some psychological issues.
the entire premise of the show preys on women's insecurities and low self-esteem so it's no wonder they heap some emotional abuse on top so they get that "wow i look like kim kardashian now, all my problems are solved!" end result.
Agreed. A lot of women would love to have her body. I feel like I'm her situation simply a healthy diet with supplements and working out all she needed. If she needed to do more, non-invasive treatments would be great. She should have went under the knife. Just my opinion, but if that's what she wanted it's none of my business.
I vaguely remember this awful show. This woman looked incredible and I agree not plastic in the after. But dying her hair, learning makeup, perhaps diet and exercise and therapy from a professional not a "coach" would have been more than adequate without all that surgery as she looked perfectly fine before.
I think she would have gotten similar results just by seeing a therapist about her body image issues, working with a personal trainer for a few sessions to develop a workout routine based on the workouts she likes to do, a trip to the dentist to fix her teeth and changing her hair color would have had the same results
No she wouldn’t have not gotten as dramatic of a look. The way her skin glows the fullness of her lips, the dermatologist and the surgeon definitely made some changes. Definitely wouldn’t have gotten perky boobs from working out. But I agree she does need therapy.
The world is so screwed up that she thought there was something wrong with her. Her insecure demeanor and self confidence was the only thing she needed to work on
The thing that really gets me about this, having had plastic surgery myself, was that they didn't let the women look in the mirror. I had a lot of body dysmorphia after surgery, and it took me time to reconnect with my body. Also, the pain and leftover anesthesia after surgery make a lot of people really emotional, so that "coach" bugged me. They should understand what the psychological process of surgery recovery is.
Exactly. Same. I’ve always had extreme bd so “ shouldn’t” ever be a candidate for surgeries like this because I can’t process the after either. But it isn’t something I even knew I had until I was in my 40s and a therapist noticed I don’t recognize myself in old pictures and even startle at myself in a mirror until my brain catches up. lol It’s a weird thing. Tattoos shouldn’t happen either. It all seems harmless but there was a time when I would have swanned myself into something different then later hated that person too.
I mean, it was the premise of the show… that’s what made it exciting. I had multiple major plastic surgeries on my body, and never had a second of body dysmorphia… I was over the moon happy with my results. Just because you experienced it doesn’t mean everyone else does. She was super happy with what she saw in the mirror at her reveal.
@@ALT-vz3jn body dysmorphia is common after plastic surgery, though, and just because some people don't experience it doesn't make what they did right. We see that in the moment, the "Swans" were happy, but we don't know what they struggled with privately. I think the show was super irresponsible.
I was so obsessed with this show at 11 years old! 😮 I remember there was an episode where the swan didn't like her transformation. And another where the swan was disqualified for sneaking in a mirror. I think it was the same swan who turned down procedures because she told the surgeon he'd be getting rid of what makes her, HER. The team of specialists were NOT happy 😂
that look is either "i can't smile naturally because my face has been sliced and botoxed to hell" or "i hate this, it isn't the result i was expecting, but i'm on TV so i have to pretend to be happy." she looks like vanessa bayer with half her facial muscles numbed.
Agreed ! Her smile looks fake, the dentist should've kept the same kind of shape that she had, that's usually what we do to ensure a natural look. The color is also too white and lacks transparency, so I'm guessing the ceramic they used is low quality
The interaction at 10:00 or so into the video speaks all about Kelly's feelings on the matter imo. The woman that came up to her asked, "How do you feel?" Kelly replies, "I feel beautiful." Then the woman responds with, "And you are." Literally the millisecond the lady said that, Kelly shook her head left and right, almost as if saying "no I'm not" after telling herself a lie in her previous response. Kelly still seemed super insecure about her appearance and probably had post-surgery regrets in this clip. So, no Dr. Youn, she wasn't happy in the least. Poor girl, hope things got better for her mentally. 😔
That’s because her problem was self esteem. She looked really good, with normal psychologist, good make up, new healthy diet that can be maintained in long rung excercise and fixing the teeth, then she could explore different fashions and self esteem would come. And that would be interesting to see. From plastic surgeon I would do only breast lift but only if she really wanted that after she would be used to new diet and training.
It's refreshing seeing a plastic surgeon who is so conservative in his views about just diving in and totally revamping a woman's entire body! Thank you, Dr. Youn. I always enjoy your takes. It's also nice that you're willing to stand up to the PS industry when it's appropriate.
I got my 4 front upper teeth crowned when I was 18 after a car accident. Anyone who does it for cosmetic purposes is nuts. Oh you're meant to replace them every 15-20 years too!
I did double jaw surgery for cosmetic 😂. .. honestly I looks like chicken and has major self image issues. It went away after surgery so I cans at it was for good
I have a mouth full of crowns due to genetically bad teeth. You are correct about replacements eventually although mine have lasted slightly longer. Also they are very expensive.
It is untrue that crowns are meant to be replaced every 15-20 years. I have a couple of porcelain-fused-to-gold crowns that have been in my mouth for 45 years, and some porcelain veneers that are 28 years old. My first set of veneers were vinyl laminates, so essentially just plastic. Since it was one of the first generation of materials for veneers, it just wasn't very sturdy for its use, and after twelve years, those veneers wore down from the mechanics of eating and toothbrushing and had to be replaced. Much better materials are available today. After gold, a material fairly kind to the opposing teeth, but not very esthetic, porcelain/ceramic is a great substitute for tooth structure, but the material must not be mistreated. Treat your crowns/veneers as enamel. Don't chew ice or very hard foods, don't abuse them by opening packages with them. Remove plaque regularly by brushing and flossing, not only to prevent caries, but also for gingival health. Some dentists also advocate chewing sugarless gum sweetened with xylitol, but only if your stomach can tolerate the xylitol. May your restorations be long lived!
All for a stupid pageant 🙃 A lovely RUclipsr named Luxeria reacted to this “reality” show In more depth. I recommend everyone watch her content! Thanks for reacting Dr. Youn you’re the best ❤️😘
It is crazy how fast beauty standards change. Hell, not to be weird, but the legs she had before are incredibly attractive! As a zoomer, I still cannot believe that skinny legs and no butt was ever seen as the beauty ideal.
kelly is literally thinner than i was when i met my now-husband. she didn't need a plastic surgery transformation, she needed affirmation and validation to fix her broken self-esteem.
Yes because a lot of the things they did on that show under the guise of “free” plastic surgery are things that you HAVE to maintain overtime like Botox. You have to spend several hundred dollars on Botox several times a year because it wears off. I wonder if they were made aware of which specific procedures have to be maintained throughout their lives and the cost of such maintenance.
They aged, just like everyone else. Plastic surgery isn’t a one-time magic bullet. When I had my breast lift/reduction the Dr. told me the lifted effect lasts 10-15 years. So for now I’m enjoying not wearing a bra, but I know that it will wear off eventually. When I had my tummy tuck I went to see a massage therapist afterwards for post-op lymphatic drainage. She told me she also had had a tummy tuck years ago - that revelation was very sobering to me, as she was obese and had a big stomach. She literally ruined her expensive plastic surgery by eating too much. So now I’m really careful not to overeat so my weight can stay within 10lbs, as much as i love my results the recovery from a tummy tuck is brutal and I wouldn't want to have to do it again. not to mention the $14,000 I spent.
everyone ages differently. I've been watching a lot about fillers and the fact that they don;t go away. also wondering about their mental health if they were able to keep up with the changes. I have been researching tummy tucks. Thank you for your take on the recovery.@@ALT-vz3jn
Luxeria here on RUclips has watched every episode of The Swan and talks about the contestants afterwards. That's actually where I learned about Dr.Youn, from her videos on 90210!
I had plastic surgery regret after my breast augmentation. I had to google if it was normal to feel like I made a mistake. I'm a year out and I'm so happy with my boobs!
My wife and I talk about this show all the time! Yes it was extreme but my God the before and afters were incredible! They all went from Erkle to Stefon!!! We love you and your channel Doc….
I really wished they gave them time to heal from the surgery, because doing physical work and intense exercise while healing from a bunch of surgeries is not good for their recovery.
The Swan sounds insane. Every individual procedure for the woman here sounds pretty reasonable, but doing all of them at once and then not seeing yourself until months after is just too much.
Bonding is so much better than having veneers. I had bonding 3+ decades ago and it’s still holding up extremely well. And it looks more natural than veneers.
I haven't even gotten to the transformation and when she smiled in her consult, she is simply gorgeous. I feel so bad she couldn't see it. I think cosmetic surgery can help people like features of theirs more, but it doesn't fix the emotional. People should be able to love themselves wherever they are at, even if they are not at their goal
She looked beautiful before all the procedures. And she could have benefited from therapy first !! Therapy to love herself, a bit of makeup and training could have been enough for her.
I used to love these shows back in the day 😱 or more specifically i loved the before and after pics. Thank you for reminding me of their existence so I can skip straight to the end without all the torturous bs.
I actually think she was quite pretty even before the surgery. I think all she really needed to improve her confidence was to get a therapist who is actually good at their job unlike the one on the show, work out, get a new hair do, and maybe learn to apply makeup if that’s something she’s interested in. I don’t like that a lot of the women on this show end up looking completely different. It could be my imagination but it looked kinda like she was upset by her drastic transformation but said she looked beautiful because she had to. I could be wrong though, but it would be a pretty understandable reaction.
It’s a real shame because she was beautiful!! I remember in the 90s they would give the women a make over and with the right make up and fabulous hairstyling they would look amazing!! It would totally change the way they thought about themselves, often saying “I never thought I could look like this” and that was enough……roll in 20 years and now we need to cut into the face shave away bones, chemically peel the skin, cut into the body to suck out fat in hips and insert bags of jelly into the perfectly good breast. Honestly in 50 years that shaved bone is going to cause pain, the jelly bags will have to be removed, the fat will be back and it’ll be even harder to except being old. It’s so sad what America has become!!
Not just in the States. I live in Canada, and I'm sure about all countries to some way or another it is the same way with all the social media we are exposed to. I have body issues and have had them since about grade 3 people can be so mean.
I really love your analysis. I wonder , have you ever had a patient change their mind after you honestly explained the ramifications of what they want from their surgery? I was thinking that most surgeons don’t tell patients everything because they might change their mind and cancel the expensive procedure.
Sometimes you cant whiten your teeth. Ive tried so many times but my dentist said thats just the natural color of my teeth. They arent stained. Teeth naturally change color over time. And it is a but weird to see a 50 year old with super bright teeth
I used to watch every episode of The Swan, and I love that you've brought back the episodes and are giving your expert opinion! She was really already beautiful and didn't even need all that plastic surgery, but that said, they did a great job, and she still looked like herself afterward. I'll bet with the starvation diet and the mean coach and all that surgery at once, it was a miserable experience for the show participants
A little editing feedback: I did not like the new zooming in with sound and blurring🎥😵 (Example at 1:33 ) Love you, Dr. Youn! I quote Luxeria's "The Swan" videos all the time🤣🦢
IMPORTANT WARNING ABOUT CAPS! If your front top & bottom teeth brush past each other very closely, you can literally destroy your jaw joints & have to live with horrendous headaches & jaw pain forever. The horrible thing is, once you get your teeth drilled down to pegs for the caps you have only 3 choices; caps forever & jaw destruction, have all the front teeth pulled & get dentures, or if the problem is diagnosed early enough, a few years of braces may do it. I was given a medicine as an infant (tetracycline) which caused my permanent teeth to grow in dark grey. I got veneers in my teens, but they cracked off several times a year (this was back in the 70s; I assume [hope] they're better now). At 20 I got caps. They totally screwed up my bite b/c there was no room between the back of my front top teeth & the front of my front bottom teeth. Every time I closed my mouth, my bottom jaw had to slide backwards & my back teeth didn't quite meet. This sliding back & forth caused the joints slowly to grind each other down to nothing. I had the caps replaced 3 times, trying to improve my bite. Now, 40 years later, my jaw joints are completely destroyed. I haven't eaten solid food in years, never will again unless I get complete joint replacements. And even without chewing, my joints will eventually grow together & freeze completely in place, so I'll be forever with my teeth clamped shut, no doubt with a few knocked out so I can slip a straw thru for nourishment. Sooo...if anyone has a bite where the bottom & top front teeth are VERY close together, DON'T GET CAPS!! Or try to find a dentist honest & ethical enough to actually tell you that getting them could cause you to have lifelong agony & headaches & eventually, no jaw joints.
@@herlinab9403 The first 2 incarnations were porcelain, both front & back sides. The last set have steel backs, which the dentist claimed was strong enough that they could thin down the back enough to save my bite. They couldn't thin them enough & didn't save my bite. The horrible thing is, if your bite is insanely close like mine, once you get your teeth drilled down to pegs you have only two choices; caps forever & jaw destruction, or have all the front teeth pulled & get dentures. No, wait, that's not true; if the problem is diagnosed early enough, a few years of braces may do it. I had no idea my jaw joints were grinding each others down to nubs until it was wayyyyy too late for braces. And thank you for replying; I'd been meaning to go back & edit the opening a bit to make it more of a warning so others don't end up like me, but I couldn't for the life of me recall which Dr Y vid it was on (I adore the man; if you haven't read his first book [Playing God, I think?], you should; if only all docs were like him!!!) He's a treasure. Funny too! I very sincerely hope that you aren't facing a similar situation, or if so that it's early enough to stop the pain & head off complete joint destruction. Best to you!
6:32 I had to get a full set of veneers on my teeth since I had a lot of stomach issues and then cancer so my teeth were ruined by 25. 😭 my parents were kind of upset since I had braces until I was 17 for basically nothing. If I would have known my illness would have led to my teeth being ruined I would have not bothered with the discomfort of braces for all those years since they would have ended up perfect anyways😂
Agree 100%. I see this with my folks, how difficult it is. It is what my grandpa (dad to 10 kids) always used to say: the longer you can keep your own teeth, the better. My mom & dad are 78 & 77 and my dad refuses dentures or to go to the dentist. He has a couple bottom teeth, say 5 and that's it. He can only eat "soft" foods. My mom has a full set of dentures and never, like grandma, wears her bottom ones in the house. They are a PITA to wear and keep in and chew with. A PITA. Nobody ever talks about how you can or can't still eat with any dental procedures done. And maybe dentists need to address this. All women in my family with dentures can not eat with the bottom ones in, and there's nothing wrong with them. Then you see these commercials about denture paste and then biting into a hard green apple. Yeah... right. 😱
Your family members are not getting a proper fit for their dentures. I have had dentures for years following facial bone problems caused the loss of my own teeth. Mine are fitted very well and I have the inside surface matched to my gum profile, not smooth as many are made. I use dentures cream and have no problem eating with them and in fact can bite an apple.... 🤷 The fit and internal profile are very, very important.....
@@MKR5210 Ah a dentist responding. You *are* a dentist, right? Otherwise I don't see the point of you responding the way you are. Not that I *have to* even get into more detail over this, but there is a thing called "osteoporosis". Maybe, as a layperson, look up what that means to someone's bone (mouth), then talk about how "fitted" dentures should be. You can *never ever* transpose your own experience over someone else's and then tell them to go do something because hey, it works for you, so it should work for them, and there apparently is no other way in your world. Maybe, please, think next time you respond.
The swan get’s me every time. In my opinion she went from a beautiful unhappy swan to a more happy still beautiful swan. But again: this much plastic surgery at once can be so overwhelming. So she maybe unhappy again.
I got my 6 top front teeth veneered 18 years ago at 19 years old. Why? Well, they were a gift from my grandparents. 🤭 How are they holding up? Well, my dentist says they have held up well especially considering I’ve *always* have had “bad teeth”. (hereditary trait) He seemed quite surprised that I haven’t had to have all of them crowned yet. I got 6, and 3 are already crowned, the other 3 *need* to be crowned but are okay, I guess, for now. 🤷🏻♀️ I will say, after I received my veneers…my confidence went through the roof and my insecurities melted away! I had never been complimented for being beautiful until *after* I got my veneers. So, yea, full-on confidence booster & self esteem lifter! 🤭 She should’ve just started with the veneers and dermatology visits, and got a personal trainer *and stylist.* Cause, not only did it change my smile but it also changed the whole shape of my face. And, I started college the fall after the summer I got them-therefore, I had full control over the meals I ate and instead of *gaining* the “Freshman 15,” I *lost* it! I needed to! Honestly, my veneers turned out to be one of the best gifts I’ve ever received! I do *not* regret it! And, to this day, I still get compliments on my smile-and it has made me a better salesman-my smile, + my confidence! #chefskiss 🫶🏻
I do 4.000 cals a day... and I am just a 5.7' woman! That said, yes I am overweight, but I also usually expend 3.500 to 4k cals a day due to my job and gym routine. And no, I am not particilarily interested in losing weight, as I am in the best shape of my life. 1.200 is ok for short sedentary women, not recovering from surgery! No wonder she feels deflated
There is no such thing as "fat but fit" according to science. Eventually, you will have a health issue from it. I'm sure you look great and feel okay for now, but it will catch up with you. Studies show that being obese kills people an average of 7 years earlier than cigarettes. It's amazing how people who otherwise believe in science will ignore it when it's about their own weight. Fat activists are killing people.
I never regretted one moment of it... My breast reduction surgery was probably the best thing painful is all get out, but it was the best thing I ever did! I went from a 48J down to a large b small c 😊
I used to watch this show, actually knew someone who had a relative on it (can’t recall their name) anyhow I’d love to see a ‘where are they now’ episode & have they kept up with their physical appearance 👌🏻👍🏻 🥰
She does look great. I still do not understand all these surgical procedures on people so young. I am 61 and have been working since I was 16 and cannot afford the procedures needed to just rejuvenate not completely obliterate my features. I work in local ER long hours for the past 30 years and can not even budget for fillers because there is always a car repair bill, family emergency and just the guilt of spending money on myself instead of helping someone else but would never even have thought about these procedures when I was their age.
She was actually really pretty in the first place, and most of the stuff they changed would have been the result of diet and exercise anyway. The exercise would have helped her more with her mental health, which was clearly not in a good place. Even at the end, her eyes looked really sad. I hope this woman is OK today.
Her coach said the girl was whiny during her recuperation. Wow, real supportive coach. She looked great after surgery while still looking like she did before surgery. Meaning it was like a new and improved version of herself.
I remember enjoying that show, there were a few shows just like it back in the day. I don’t remember wanting plastic surgery back then, but I did admire their results; of course it’s Dr. Dubrow so you know it’s going to be gorgeous. I did end up having plastic surgery (a mommy makeover) 16 years later! And I’m thrilled with my results 😅 I had a breast lift/reduction (no implants) and a tummy tuck. I would do it again in a heartbeat; it was amazing for my self-confidence.
I wish to god i could get my teeth done. I had a bad vitamin deficiency when pregnant and it killed my teeth. First time i ever had to have a tooth pulled was when pregnant with my twins. Now theyre horrible. I have asked to be switched positions at work to get away from the public bc im so embarrassed. It ruined my confidence. I dont even smile anymore.
Nah she didn't need those procedures. This show is dumb. Humans have more to do than to look like a pretty flower all day. Instead of uplifting her with positive thoughts that she's a wonderful human who's capable of tons they just gave her a list of procedures to fix the outside. Why not start with the internal? It all starts in the head. You feel good you'll believe in it. You may look good but feel crap than thats how you'll feel and until you fix that nothing could help.
This reminds me of when they did Extreme Makeover on people. There was an episode where they did a man and woman who were engaged and who had lost a ton of weight. They had major plastic surgery on their faces before meeting up for the wedding. I always wondered if they had kids and if the poor kids inherited the features their parents got rid of, like large noses and recessed chins.
The big thing about the swan was the miror reveal for all the women with no mirrors allowed period and they have no idea what they look like. I remember one lady a little mirror in and she got removed from the show.
Wish I would’ve seen this video years ago. When I was 16 my dentist recommended my mom have my four front teeth covered with caps.. have lost two of them now and just had the other two replaced
I have never felt physically imperfect or that i needed cosmetic surgery. Even as i get older. I am afraid of hospitals chiefly, but I also fear any surgery areas would intermittently ring out with a chronic ache, or flare up on rainy days. Does that happen?
My brother went through the teeth surgery. They removed all his teeth. He could only do a liquid diet for many months but he does look really great. Its a long process that people don't always realize is a long process, he was 55
My mom had all her teeth removed at 20, the day JFK was assassinated. I also learned that her sister, only one year younger than her, had all hers removed at 14!! They were a poor fam of 6, but I still can't wrap my head around why & how bad their teeth had to have been at such a young age. I don't see how they could afford all that surgery. Mom is 81 now and still faithfully wears the same dentures.
Another youtuber I watch, Luxeria, reacted to the whole episode/seasons. They were so much worse when you see all of it. She talks about it from her perspective as someone having experiences with plastic surgery herself as well which is interesting.
When Dr. Youn reviews these 20 year old shows, I always wonder if the original "star" (victim) of the show sees them and feels like somebody has finally pointed out the televised assault they were subjected to.
They got tens of thousands of dollars worth of free plastic surgery from a top Beverly Hills surgeon. I don’t call that an assault! I would do it in a heartbeat.
Thank you Dr. Youn. A lot of insecurities in our youth are shrouded in blind trust in dentists and plastic surgeons. There is always risks. And shaving down your enamel on purpose is a scam. Human bones once broken is NEVER the samez. Veneers will never be as strong as natural teeth.

She looks like her teeth hurt.
that look is either "i can't smile naturally because my face has been sliced and botoxed to hell" or "i hate this, it isn't the result i was expecting, but i'm on TV so i have to pretend to be happy." she looks like vanessa bayer with half her facial muscles numbed.
I noticed that her upper lip didn't move. Maybe botox? Though her teeth were nice her original smile was way better.
The woman that came up to her asked, "How do you feel?"
Kelly replies, "I feel beautiful."
Then the woman responds with, "And you are."
Literally the millisecond the lady said that, Kelly shook her head left and right, almost as if saying "no I'm not" after telling herself a lie in her previous response.
Kelly still seemed super insecure about her appearance and probably had post-surgery regrets in this clip. So, no Dr. Youn, she wasn't happy in the least. Poor girl, hope things got better for her mentally. 😔
She still looks depressed. Poor soul.
Yes, she has a very depressed affect. None of the so-called transformation helped with that. It is unfortunate that she is so unhappy.
The lady did not need surgery and beauty comes from within x
All for a stupid pageant 🙃 A lovely RUclipsr named Luxeria reacted to this “reality” show In more depth. I recommend everyone watch her content!
Thanks for reacting Dr. Youn you’re the best ❤️😘
Yes I 2nd Luxeria! She's the best!
“IT’S A SCANDAL, GURLS!!” +💯 for Luxeria’s Swan content!
We've got to get to the pagent!!!!
I just commented about this, Dr.Youn is in her 90210 videos!
Also, Why aren't you making it to the pageant!
Brow lift!!!
It is crazy how fast beauty standards change. Hell, not to be weird, but the legs she had before are incredibly attractive! As a zoomer, I still cannot believe that skinny legs and no butt was ever seen as the beauty ideal.
What is a zoomer?
@@vics3765generation z
@@vics3765A boomer but gen Z. A zoomer
kelly is literally thinner than i was when i met my now-husband. she didn't need a plastic surgery transformation, she needed affirmation and validation to fix her broken self-esteem.
Thin is still a beauty standard for lots of people.
Dr. Youn really make me love myself more and love my flaws as well. ❤
That's because he's a professional doctor and can help people look and feel better without his scalpel.
I would like to see what they look like now. They need a follow up show.
The pageant girls!!
I had plastic surgery regret after my breast augmentation. I had to google if it was normal to feel like I made a mistake. I'm a year out and I'm so happy with my boobs!
Do a “where are they now” on these contestants please!!!
She was fine before, all she had to do was her hair, make-up and flattering clothes, she didn't need surgery.
My wife and I talk about this show all the time! Yes it was extreme but my God the before and afters were incredible! They all went from Erkle to Stefon!!! We love you and your channel Doc….
i would not say "they went from urkel to stefon" because they weren't "urkels" in the first place.
@@dietotakushe was an Urkel, they all were. They looked like beautiful movie stars after.
I believe there was a woman who had dysmorphia after finally seeing herself in the mirror for the first time.
@@cloudywolf9738no there wasn’t, they were all thrilled. I watched this show every week when it was on.
Bonding is so much better than having veneers.
I had bonding 3+ decades ago and it’s still holding up extremely well.
And it looks more natural than veneers.
Tbh I don’t see much difference after the surgery ! Simple makeup could’ve produced the same results
I sooo enjoy watching your videos just for your personality Dr Youn. You are an inspiration and great role model. 💖
THE SWAN GIRLS!
This show was so sad. I'd like to see & hear their thoughts now on what they went through.
Hate her smile but she looks good BUT SHE DIDN'T NEED ANYTHING DONE!
Thanks, Dr. Youn, blessings on you and yours for 2024.
Awww you know she was happy
I love you Doctor Youn, youre so funny and real 😊😊
Sometimes you cant whiten your teeth. Ive tried so many times but my dentist said thats just the natural color of my teeth. They arent stained. Teeth naturally change color over time. And it is a but weird to see a 50 year old with super bright teeth
Dr Y is a kindness warrior ❤
I always enjoy Dr. Youn' s down to earth common sense comments 👏🏻
We definitely need a “where are they now?” for these people!
What are those caps?
If you are a healthy person and kind, you are a swan.
This show could be a black mirror episode, especially the reveal segment 😳
Anybody can change how they look simply by being positive and glowing from within, something we need to teach young people.
She needed mental health assistance not plastic surgery.
Yeah... right. 😱
People with money get implants… they don’t wear dentures.
The fit and internal profile are very, very important.....
I'd like to see a follow up where these women are today, and how they feel about that show and how they are doing.
I love how Dr. Youn points out, " just woman not men." I've noticed that too with a lot of these extreme make over shows.
I used to watch this show, actually knew someone who had a relative on it (can’t recall their name) anyhow I’d love to see a ‘where are they now’ episode & have they kept up with their physical appearance 👌🏻👍🏻 🥰
Yay! I wanted you to react more to this ❤❤thanks
We love you, Brian ❤
Dr Youn seems to be a rarity among plastic surgeons in that he has ethics and aesthetic sense!
She was actually really pretty in the first place, and most of the stuff they changed would have been the result of diet and exercise anyway. The exercise would have helped her more with her mental health, which was clearly not in a good place. Even at the end, her eyes looked really sad. I hope this woman is OK today.
This lady needed absolutely nothing! She was perfect just as she was! Maybe some self-esteem counseling?
Such a sad/strange show. I wonder what Dr. Dubrow would say nowadays about his participation in it?
Her coach said the girl was whiny during her recuperation. Wow, real supportive coach. She looked great after surgery while still looking like she did before surgery. Meaning it was like a new and improved version of herself.
"WHY AREN'T YOU GETTING INTO THE PAGEANT?!" XD How many of us are watching this because we watched Luxeria's series of it?
🙋♂ the SWAN, girls!
How sad.
I don't see what was wrong with that young woman before. She looked amazing before the surgery, but as long as she is happy....
Love you Dr Youn!!!!
Social Media teaches low self estime. People compare themselves to filter photos and photoshop images, you cannot win !
This took place before social media existed.
Omg, she just needed to work out regularly…, no need surgery she is a pretty. Girl!!
I cannot imagine looking in a mirror and not recognizing myself. By that I mean changing my features.
This show was so popular in its time!
You should react to Korean plastic surgery reality show called Let Me In
min 6 44 hahaha Such sense of humor
More procedures down the road to counteract the effects of aging.
Everyone gets a Dubrow lift!
I think Dubrow has had a nose job since this.
Treating a human like this is crazy.
When i was a kid all I ever wanted was to go on The Swan. 😂
I love you Dr youn."cuz dang if that was negative it would suuuuuuk". 😂😂😂
I had a breast augmentation in 2009 and originally felt a lot of regret. I love them now. Lol
Natural is beautiful .
I loved when he said “ these weirdos.”
That coach Nely looks like Candace Cameron Bure. That's wild.
With all these procedures, she better be born again!!!😂😂😂
I might say it was a very good program!
As for Teagan, well you can paint a trash compactor pink it still a trash compactor in the end.
Rofl
