Personal Opinion: "The Nutcracker" was Tara's emotional breakthrough, "The Red Shoes" were Tara's most outstanding piece of art and "At the Mercy of the Elements was her best dance as a whole. That dance was Tara(s), she was entirely herself!

The dance she and Ben choreograph in the movie reminds me of this dance, they’re both so fluid and beautiful. Tara does so much gorgeous classical ballet but her lyrical numbers are unmatched

It's funny how later Grace said she let Tara win. No she only said that to get into her head. She was jealous of her. Which proves how good of a dancer Tara was especially since Grace was a fanatastoc dancer but Tara seem to embodied a true dancer because of her passion unlike Grace she dances how she feels

@@anasla6550 Technically yes, artistically no - and emotionally, not even close! Grace had no idea who she was, scared to death to find it out and thus had no idea how to convey any human feeling in the way she moved. This is just a guess, but I think the only reason you may feel like she was far better is that Grace looked so confident and superior and effortless when she moved. Yet, she was often so far from portraying the character and the story told with the choreography. Bu that was the whole point of what they were learning in the Academy: Despite all the technical excellence, dancing is storytelling!
