While she is capable of reaching high notes, she becomes unstable and resorts to her nasal voice most of the time. But this? Wow. It's just super chill. No straining. Just relaxed chest voice/mix register and that's obviously what she's most comfortable with. I loved Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway and her Chinese mini album, but this, by far, is what really showcases Yoong's vocal ability in my opinion. (Sidenote: for some absurd reason, this Chinese version sounds 100x pleasing to my ears than the Korean version. Maybe because Chinese flows? Idk. I'm weird. Bye.)
Soojung's RBF saved kpop and I love the fact that her being alto is sooo perfect. She somewhat have similarities with taeyeon in that area. I mean I'm hoping they got some duet with a ballad and I swear its going to be a lit. S N S D Yes, she should really stick with this vocal range and leave the higher notes for the other girls. I'm really hoping SM will let her sing in this vocal range in the next SNSD album. When she was finally allowed to sing in her normal range, people were mind-blown by her timbre and she shut her haters right up. Now no one says she can't sing. Lol. Yoona is a light lyric soprano, though? Her timbre is too light and carries little weight to be an alto, or mezzo. She hasn't properly developed her voice, which is why she struggles in keeping her vocal chords strong enough to reach into the fifth octave.
I remember Xiao Xiao once mentioned that Yoona cried while filming in China because she didn't understand anything the cast and staff were saying. Learning a new language is not easy, let alone Chinese. I'm amazed through her Chinese interviews and songs, her tone, pronunciation can be understood from hearing. Well done!

And China is such a big country, southern, northern and western Chinese have very different accents because there are unaccountable dialects in China. Therefore, accent is acceptable and has not much influences.
tbh i like the chinese version better, her voice in chinese suits the soothing rhythm more. and yes her pronunciation is crazy good! and based on her performance in chinese talk shows, she really is that good, rather than just reading off the script.
