  • In this tutorial video, I provide a step-by-step guide on how to build a heterostructure using VESTA, a powerful tool for visualization and analysis of crystal structures. I walk you through the process of creating the supercell, adding individual layers, and performing analysis on the resulting structure. This video is ideal for students, researchers, and professionals interested in materials science, solid-state physics, and crystallography. By the end of this tutorial, you will have gained valuable insights into the creation and analysis of heterostructures and be able to apply the knowledge to your own research.

    Thank you for your informative videos. I wonder if you can make a video of Alpha Al and Al2o3 structure. It can be something Al2o3 in the middle and Al on both sides. They have different structure how to adjust their lattice mismatch pls

    The method appears to be quite valuable; however, there are instances where matching lattice parameters may not be feasible, especially when the parameter difference is significantly large. Can you recommend any alternative approaches?

      The number of atoms are too high, so it will take too long for computatio, how to reduce , and how to form hetero structure for at particular clever surface

    Hi, Thanks for the video. I was trying to make heterostructure. I have a question. why did you delete the periodicity along a and b by removing atoms ?

    • @DnyaNiPhysicsWorld
      @DnyaNiPhysicsWorld  2 года назад

      In order to satisfy the periodic boundary condition, we must delete the periodicity along a and b. Since we have added vacuum to c, we do not need to adhere to the periodic boundary condition along c.

    Kindly send the xyz file of this heterostructure
