What a throwback... The game had everything to be worthy - The unexpected graphics, storyline, the hype, the features. By far the best PS3 game I've ever played next to GTA 4.
I'm playing this for the first time. I'm having a blast. Right now I'm on my way to Sargasso. It might seem odd but I like listening to long plays of games.
I remember when me, my brother and friend played this game and took turns each time we died. when it was my turn I killed tachyon at the same time that he killed me but I guess he died first so the end cutscene started playing
Very Impressive of you, your brother, and your friend spending time with each other that's a very good idea to spend time with your sibling and your friend.
Ah Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, a true testament to the Ratchet & Clank series. Sure some people gave the newest instalments crap for their story and such but, as odd as this may sound, coming from a fan of Insomniac Games it was a nice change none the less. Lookin’ back when I first got Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal I was not expecting to get hooked into the series so much. After completing the story and going through Challenge Mode I knew right then and there that this series was right for me. I mean what in the hell kind of game lets you upgrade your weapons just by constantly using them?! It’s so awesome anticipating what upgrades you’ll get next! And yeah the games have their flaws but you know what at least it’s better than “Fallout Seventy Six Ways to Rip Money Out of Our Pockets” *OOF* . I hope that Insomniac Games revives this Franchise again! I love it so much!
I think out of every series of games I've ever played the Ratchet and Clank games are my favorite. The first 4 are my personal favorites, but I still enjoy the others and I'm glad they continued making them. They are fun games and very unique at that. And I agree the guns always upgrading makes you want to try them all and keeps gameplay interesting.
Agree, as a game that radically changed franchise, Tools of Destruction is one of excellent examples of such. I think one of things that made this is The Design. You see most of R&C games (Original trilogy + Ratchet Deadlocked) were good, but design was pretty simple even Big Landscapes doesn't change much. ToD is literally upgraded design, 'cuz, just look at the first level for example: One big building towering over skyscrapers which are made in retro design. Look at the enemies, maybe they look funny, but they fit in this city, like fishes in water. Trust me, this game + Spore and Darkspore caught me by this awesome sci fi design, you never find something like that nowadays.
@@S4murai_Screwed Do you think Emperor Tachyon and his Cragmite family would be back together if the video game industry had a new idea for Ratchet and Clank’s sequel trilogy of movies that were made by Insomniac Games with a new Lombax?
I am a little bit of a PS2 veteran when it comes to the Ratchet&Clank series for PlayStation®2, but not for yet for the PlayStation®3! I just hope that I'll soon get around to playing everyone of the R&C games in the end! 😊
I love Ratchet and Clank Future Tools Of Destruction. I honestly play it once a year not in a bad way but, when I ever play it for me, I always have 3 tries (attempts) to get finished everything which means weapon upgrades to level 1-10, holoplans, and gold bolts.
@@S0renz in crack of time, there is a news report about her going into hiding due to Tachyon’s invasion of Kerwan in Solana, and Talwyn said she didn’t get out of the station much until she met Ratchet for the first time, plus, virtually the entirety of the Lombaxes had vanished years ago around the time Tachyon began to take over the Polaris Galaxy.
When I first played this game, the game was broken and was stuck on loading screen between Cobalia and Kortog. But it eventualy stopped and was able to play normally. The last boss fight was a pain for me because you lose a lot ammo and have nowhere to collect (except for the boxes that don't appear again). Also, the annoying thing was that big cragmite enemy who keeps teleporting over and over at s single shot. But nevertheless, I still liked this game and it's one of my all time favorite games.
You did an impressive job on this Loopy. Though I hate to tell you this, but there were a few things about your playstyle that kinda bugged me: 1. I don't think you realized, but the Swingshot will auto-equip when you jump to a Swingshot target. So there is no need for you to manually switch to it in the Weapon Wheel. 2. 90% of the time, you completely forgot that you can refill all of your weapons in the weapon shop by selecting the Refill Ammo option. It saves you a lot of time. 3. This issue is only minor and I can understand why you did it, but on Cobalia and Nundac Asteroid Ring, you didn't sell a single one of your Leviathan Souls until your reached Sargasso. I'm one of those people who sell this stuff to the Smuggler immediately before moving on. But like I said, this is a minor issue.
That's a load of bolts, wow lol. But why do your bolts decrease.. game can't handle that many? Also side note, I will be doing a longplay of the challenge mode for this game sometime next month.
@@LoopyLongplays I have no idea why it decreases but it is possible that the game can't handle that much money. In challenge mode you can obtain a lot of money but the weapons cost millions of bolts, with the RYNO IV being 50 Million and if you keep your bolt multiplier high enough, you'll be able to afford it quickly( assuming you don't buy the other weapons first).
Thank you man :) this was fun to replay again. On a side note, I'm also doing challenge mode sometime next month. Something to look forward to perhaps.
5:26:57 - i tried doing this section without slow time. Too hard, i got as far as having to levitate onto those platforms with multi-axis gimbals on them before fighting more pirates. I couldnt even enter the platforms in that area. At least now i know its R1 to slow time.
