Alright, Mike. OMG! How bad is that! You definitely can’t do fast close combat with that frame rate. During the beta the game on all platforms had two periods where it was locked to 30FPS and it was impossible to aim properly and have a proper close quarters battle. The SD 8 Gen 1 and its Adreno GPU are actually still decent and aren’t what you’d call “bad”. So it just goes to show that this game is only going to be good on SD 8 Gen 2 and above. I’m not sure that even Samsung’s own Exynos is going to be able to do 60FPS solid with high quality. I wonder what the latest MediaTek processor and its Mali GPU is going to be like? Did your S23 heat up toward the end? I still get that thing where your control is lost and the player starts spinning and all kinds of picture glitching, with the iPhone after it heats up. I still have to use the cooler on the iPhone but don’t on the S24 (but I use it anyway on the S24 to keep it cold just in case it does improve things but it isn’t necessary to stop the phone from heating as it only gets warm without it, not hot like the iPhone) I wonder if the game still needs improving with certain processors/SoCs as far as clock speeds/heat are concerned. The difference with the S24 Ultra and presumably any SD 8 Gen 3 has been seriously noticeable with its performance during the beta compared to the final release. In fact, and while I’ve still not tested the iPhone or iPad since the last update and assuming my “lag” issue is server based and not a problem with the host device. I’m really impressed with the S24 Ultra and it may be what I use as my main WZM device. Cheers, Dave.

This one surprised me, Dave. I was expecting a decent resolution cut, but the game to at least try to hit 60 fps most of the time. The phone got really warm, but not hot. Nothing too abnormal for gaming.
This was the 3rd and final attempt at a recording. 1st game my R2 on my controller wasn't working so I quit out. 2nd game crashed a few minutes in. 3rd one, I just said F it. I saw the GPUwatch turn off. I had the uncommanded spin. I saw the HDMI turn off on the Atomos Ninja. I fought a guy in the gas and knocked him viewing the tablet screen without sound. Then I noticed the Ninja feed came back on. So I decided to upload the disaster.
It's clear there is a distinct rendering cutoff for WZM between SD8 Gen1 and Gen2. My phone has 8 Gigs of RAM, but the game is acting like I have 4 Gigs with all the hitching. The phone immediately gets warm and just gradually lowers the framerate the more I played. Plus it's causing the controller malfunctions with the R2 button and the spin. Crazy. If I recall correctly, there was only a 20% GPU difference between the Gen1 and Gen2.

@@Mike5GSR Alright, Mike. Yes, I think it’s around 20% difference on the GPU between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 but that doesn’t feel like the difference in WZM. I agree, I would have expected a resolution cut but only to maintain 60FPS but that’s obviously not the case. I have a feeling that Activision were just under pressure to release the game and it’s not had all the optimisations across the different hardware configurations that it should have. Maybe there’ll be updates for the likes of the Gen 1 and other SoCs/processors further down the line. If not, then that will mean a minimum of a Gen 2 just to get 60FPS, which is way too much of an ask for a mobile game. I think the main problem for mobile games is Android itself, as there are loads of different hardware configurations. Even when using the same SoC, Gen 3 as an example, different manufactures have tweaks that are specific to their requirements and some even have co-processing. So even a solid SoC isn’t a straightforward optimisation path. I think this is why we seen iOS and iPadOS performing much better during the beta, as there is very little difference across all the hardware variations. It’s probably like console VS desktop, where the consoles are set in stone but desktops are a wild mess of different hardware configurations. Saying all that, having had a couple of days in the S24 Ultra, I think it’s awesome for WZM and gaming in general. There’s just that one issue of the massive stutter that you’ve seen in my videos, which happens at some point in every game. As long as that stutter/glitching doesn’t happen during a battle then it’s OK but it is an issue as it’s in the back of your head when your playing and second guessing it is taking brain space away from the game (for me at least with puny monkey brain 😆). Anyway, I suppose it’s still early days and while there are a number of issues, I don’t think the release has been anywhere near as bad as it could have been. I’d love to know the stats for how many are playing the game, I bet it’s massive at the moment. Cheers, Dave.

30 fps on mobile is playble

Still better than most devices, 8 gen 1 is flagship but relatively old, Samsung is also on the lower side of flagships performing in gaming, you don't have any graphical glitches at least, on mine (SD865) runs about like yours except many many graphical glitches like, whole screen white, floor is black, guns don't load, gun sights are bugged, map doesn't work nor appear, touch controls dissapear and stop working and such, imo you should just straight up uninstall the game if you don't enjoy it, it's gonna be your time wasted, if you enjoy but high heat then it's alright ig

You should try to use a game plugins so you can show fps and kinda make the performance higher.
I have a s22u snapdragon version not mine its my mother, maybe its because bigger? I mean im getting a solid 50-60 fps with only 43c° the game itself has really bad optimization after the release i mean when it was at beta my exynos 990 can literally 50-60 fps now? 30-40 struggle to 50 fps
Its relatively better than my china phone a poco f5 sometimes struggle to back to 50 fps, stuck at 10-20 fps whos at fault? Both
The china phone has a bad OS right now not even stable always throttling and again the game optimization, meanwhile my samsung note 20 ultra even tho its android 13 it can get 92% on CPU throttling test meanwhile my china ahh phone only got 82%

@@branco33 I got questions about your video.
      1. Why did you record at 480p so you can't read anything?
      2. Why did you crop the image to hide your UID on the left side?
      3. Why aren't you playing on Verdansk? You picked the small map Rebirth Island.
      4. At what point does the game ever get near 100 fps?

      @@Mike5GSR 1 - for me the video have 1080p 60 fps quality
2- for some reason the video was in the wrong screen proportion, the screen had been left standing, as we normally use the phone other than to play games So I cut it to leave it at 16:9
3- I don't even think obout it haha, but in verdanks I have the same result, without many variations, if you want, i can make another video
4- when it's not recording haha, my mistake, I thought the cell phone would be able to reach 100 fps during recording (in MP it can, but it doesn't count, the maps are small and there aren't a lot of players) so as I had already recorded it I decided post anyway, aiming that my objective was also to show that the S23 FE could run the game much better than presented in the video above
