Every time I watch this makes me feel like this kind of vibe is the future. From the ambiance, to the ideologies, to the nomadic, lightweight lifestyle, to the conception of a decentralized culture.
It will be for many, but there will be room for all kinds. Cultures clashing and peace finally starting to emerge from 20th century chaos, people seeing that it's all ok, it's all good, languages and cultures only the outer, inside we are all pretty much the same. Everybody wants love, to be seen, and to be heard. We finally have enough Universal knowledge that we don't have to EFF up an entire generation of shildren, who then have to spend half their lives undoing the damage!
Wow I heard Polkadot could be on a huge rise soon so I came here to do some research and I really like this guy

@Free World Maybe you should take a look at bitcoin transactions per day, and then ethereum transactions per day. Ethereum has five times the use. Also, the way that Ethereum is creating decentralized autonomous organizations will completely change the world in ways that Bitcoin never can. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you are behind the curve, which is why you falsely believe that Bitcoin is the only one that matters. Educate yourself.

i too am very grateful for him and many many others out there.. same goes for all the researchers in the covid battle :/ so much negativity in the world.. i wont be adding to it ! i did a quick look at what the vaccines design is about, and i was very impressed with medical progress.. we are getting better together ! much respect to the smart hard workers who aren't.. well greedy assholes like many rich people.. i hate to hear "me and my family" umm well, the human race is my family.

I was torn between ADA and DOT, but Gavin is so much more genuine than Charles. I feel I can trust Gavin to make DOT work.
Why do you feel you need to choose between the two? Gavin says it himself - one chain wouldn't be perfect for long, and don't back one winner above all others.

what if you have an application that needs a throughput of 100k tps - you cant distribute that on many chains, it needs to run on one single chain. hows that possible on polkadot?

I've been researching multiple Cryptos and Blockchains, and every video has the same comments. "This will change the world" type... Just trying to give you guys some perspective. If Polkadot is the only one in your book, you should rethink the situation. The are a few more that are worth noticing before placing your life savings on a single one.

@@Lions4322 Cardano is my top pick at the moment, polkadot, BNB is a maybe but I am already turned off by it, Litecoin partnering with PayPal seems promising. Bitcoin maybe as a short term investment but I can’t figure out the point of it besides being a rarity. Not into Ethereum as much as Cardano or Polkadot seem superior but I am worried that the mass adoption of Ethereum may win at the end. Cardano is extensively researched and it looks great long term, but it is taking it’s time and I’m afraid that it will miss the boat. Aside from that, still looking.

It’s recent run ($4 -$20)/dot should tell you a lot about the momentum behind it. It’s 3 x easier developing for DOT than ETH thanks to its use of substrate.
Don’t even get me started on it’s little brother - kusama. make no mistake, there’s space for every blockchain but ETH and DOT will be the dominant ones

@@gamingbtc it’s not retail. The price action over the past few days was in anticipation of the DOT parachain lunch and also due to the fact that Polkadot has the highest staking compared to other blockchains. the staking means less DOT in circulation.
Over 61% are staked. Also, it appears You’re probably new to the crypto space else you'd be familiar with a few of them

Cardano + polkadot are brothers
Is Polkadot still planning to have some type of collaboration with Cosmos? They have had changes at the top the last several months and appear to have been struggling, so I wondered where the potential collaboration stands. Thanks!
Fear not, I fully expect Polkadot governance on chain - sudo removed, and included in the second round of chains added to BSN by the end of the year or Q1. Cosmos and ETH, Neo are being integrated and basically already understood etc, the first batch of 6 were announce weeks ago. Unsure of exact progress but can assume some things by now, and progress is fast and accelerating... once the first set of 6 are integrated in a way that those involved are happy with design to implementation and real world numbers they are seeing ? expect things to take off, the best news of 2020 would be they annouce Polkadot, Elrond, Cardano, DeFichain and more high throughput layer1 ecosystems start integrating and that actual work to be done is expected to be simplistic in comparison to all the previous work done already and being done now :) massive projects all of them, being done by very smart people in particularly smart ways

@@P8860 it's another version of a financial system, outside wallstreet banking or country central bank control.
bitcoin - more of an asset (gold) versus a financial system/technology
etherium - more of a financial system/technology (but does have a coin too)
polkadot - another (more modern?) version of etherium, a financial system/technology
this is all about software and systems/technology. they are all iterating to find what is best. horse race between etherium/polkadot/cardono to be the future system/technology for a non government owned financial system.
