    Very interesting concept for natural dyes, but doesn't seem to be a solution to recycle invasive algae (not yet anyway)

    it's GMO algae of some kind, right? Who knows, or cares, right? :)

      I don't think so.
      (there are 3 million different algaes. probably don't need to modify them)
