When I was in UK. I saw empty boarded up streets under a constant grey sky, litter everywhere.
Homeless people sleeping in doorways. Opioid addicts out of their mind and women so drunk they urinated on the streets. It's a sad declined country

The taxpayers need a pay rise in order to be able to live, but part of these taxpayers' pay go to the royal family who I believe don't work as hard as these commoners.

@Utoobe Izkaka In case you're not aware, the world is in a state of economic crisis. Ordinary people need a raise in their wages in order to pay for their food, clothing, gas and rent.
Regarding your question, the evidence is published.

Rail workers earn more than nurses. The average salary is £33k. These people are being selfish and making itextremely difficult for people earning less than them to get to work.

Those Dubliners were right, they still listed trains as available even though the operators knew it was a strike day

The sad thing about inflation is that even when you get it under control the damage is done and those prices never go back down. Most people have never experienced a bear market and that’s why their emotions are all over the place

A lot of people haven't had a pay rise in years and can't blackmail anyone into giving them one.
Eventually, companies will get so fed up that they'll use automated systems instead, and train drivers especially, who already get good pay, will lose their jobs...

    They already get good pay.
Their working practices need to be more flexible in the modern era (still dating from postwar era).
And also, your commentator first needs to ask British people if they are happy to pay even higher fares than they already are paying.!!!
Very easy for journalists to talk from far-away countries where they don't even have railways anyway!!!!!!!

    • @JohnTaylor-bf6ll
      @JohnTaylor-bf6ll 2 года назад

@Utoobe Izkaka oh, I've seen a LOT of things in my extensive travels.
But first, I remember the railways when they WERE nationalised.
Every time you'd go to the station to catch your train, you first might as well go to the bookies like William Hill to place a bet on whether your train would turn up, and then at what time????!!
Secondly, even in today's era, I see empty trains (for example in the evenings) where a guard has to open and close the doors and very often I've been the only passenger in my carriage.
And if the guard didn't turn up, or he's late for work, what then????
      I've seen it all.

@Utoobe Izkaka you're no friend of hard working travellers at all.
No wonder you don't have much sympathy in the country.

@Utoobe Izkaka let's put it to the vote. And THAT will decide what goes on in the railways.
