I'd be really great if I understood the hand gestures. It pretty obvious that they actually DO mean something. But what exactly...
It is an art form as much for the viewers interpretation, as is for the dancer to express her energy, mostly used in tribal/fusion belly dance. The snake arms are to represent the beauty and graceful movement of the cobra from aincent Egyptian/indian/arab origin.. :) Ps- MUCH harder than it looks!

While satanists do make use of the symbol and image, many others having absolutely nothing to do with that philosophy/religion have used it and continue to do so and others use do use it as well.
