Arundel persistently churns out high achievers. This lady is yet another example.
All of these people are products of strict parents. Discipline is key. A parent's ability to identify gifts and nurture these young souls is also key.
Met Mati when she was 15 in high school.. at youth camps… remember her as being talkative and larger than life- not surprising where she is now… good on you Mati! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love that she says "i survived", that hit me to the core. That on its own is worth celebrating, well done Mati
very smart, articulate, confident, Zimbabwe is well represented in the personality of the good Doc, very proud of you Dr Mati, you are inspiration on steroids
Am inspired!!!!! A woman, black and immigrant. Love your honesty and that you are unapologetic about your truth.
A very proud Sekuru here, well done Mati!!!!!💖❤💝 Thanks Trevor 👏🏿
I h ave never commented in this platform. Trevor, Dr Matifadza is one of the most intelligent person in this universe
Very articulate, straight to the point, unapologetic! Kudos 🙌🏽
For any society, institution or country to prosper, women in leadership roles are key. Patriarchy and misogyny are holding Zim back, just my opinion.
Matifadza WOW Im beyond bewildered by your conversation, shine keep shining
she showed that it was not an easy road to victory, i applaud her
Your PATRIOTISM is so impressive and immeasurable. You go girl xx
Strong woman who like all of us has an undying love for Zimbabwe and her people. Keep doing great things my sister and I have no doubt you will be an instrument in God's hands to make a difference in the lives of many Zimbabweans who for a long time have borne the brunt of poverty and lack.
No she is not a traitor or abandoner she is an inspiration to many
Matifadza is amazing. One cannot avoid feeling awestruck by her accomplishments and where the story of her life began.
Thanks Dr Hlatshwayo for awesomely representing our country. Uyisipho kithi
Brilliant! These are the kind of hands we need to rebuild Zimbabwe!
So true, I agree
Thank.you Trevor for this particular interview. The lived experiences of Dr. Mati - a brilliant woman and child of the Kingdom of God. Mati"s father was a childhood friend of mine at Mt. Silinda Mission. Yes Comrade Mao later. He was cheerful and full of jokes. We thank God for his life and contribution in the struggle for the liberation of our beloved country. Unfortunately the Zimbabwe we have today is not what was fought for. Very sad. Mati's mom did a wonderful job too.
All the best
Dr. Hlatshwayo-Davis.
Mentorship is a great way to pay it forward and give back. Thank you Dr. Hlatshwayo Davis for your contributions!
Such great talent from Zimbabwe thank you Trevor!
Well done Mati, so proud of you, God has lifted up your head, forgive the past, ignore the nay sayers, if God is on your side who can be against you? Kudos too to your mum, love Tenji x
Dr Mati when you started I was like umm there we go with privilege but you know what, it didn't take me 15min to realise how wrong I was. Your story is inspiring, I am very proud of you - your mother who raised such a strong woman, a leader, a humble and God-fearing p mother, wife, sister, friend like you! Well done!
No further questions. this s our next minister of Health .whether they like it or not.

#How Zimbabwe leaders have failed the country and many more; they are small minds in big offices!!!
Just watched this amazing interview with Dr Mati.. So very proud of her..very humble and appreciative..Thanks Trevor!!..🇿🇼🇺🇸.
if knowing your purpose was a person. Thumbs up to you Doc
This is another awesome interview Trevor. Keep them coming. We are most proud of you Matifadza. If I were a government leader in Zim I would find an innovative way of marshaling the input of all these smart trailblazing Zimbabweans regardless of where they are. I think their greatest impact is contributing from wherever they are, with ideas and technical support. Money is the last thing I would ask for, if at all. Money follows ideas.
Awesome interview Trevor. You brought out the huge personality that we are truly proud of. She is a trailblazer showing the light where we should have been and where we can be if we choose to locate ourselves as big as we should be.
Wow!!!!, what amazing young woman!!!! Absolutely intelligent, very articulate, confident!!!!! Wow!!! well done Mati!!!! The sky is the limit for sure. Hope my 24 year daughter now working in St. Louis will be able to find you. Watifadza chose Matifadza.👏👏👏
We are many Zimbabweans in St.louis Missouri doing well and hopefully we will connect with her in the community.
Its funny how life is. When I heard the name Hlatshiwayo I remembered I knew this name but was not sure if there was any connection. I lived two houses from Mati's dad as a kid growing up in Highfields in an area popularly as "ma 12 pounds". I was much younger than him but he was always friendly to us young ones. I hung out with his youngest brother Cyprian and my step brother became friends with his other brother Prince. Gaylord's best friend was Thomas Mandigora who became a diplomat in the government after independence. Great to see that line being kept alive. Great people. Their dad, Mati's grandfather was Zimbabwe's first black advocate I think. I stand to be corrected.
Great Dr. Mati, you are an inspiration to many.We are very proud of you.
I know your dad Mao very well. He was such a lovely person.

Trevor you interview Educated people all the time but No one is willing to risk taking over as a Zimbabwean President?WHY? I feel they all have the wrong Education because they are all scared to Lead.
Is this Zimbabwean an American Citizen? Not that the 1965 Immigration Act has any merit, just pondering?
I enjoy your guests most times but unfortunately I had to stop watching as soon as your guest mentioned the woke word "intersectionality". I will pray for her in the meantime.
So proud of you Dr Mati
