McLogan it took me 3 weeks to learn this but u teached me in 10 minutes ur such a good teachers and u should get more subscribers and viewers cause ur the best teacher ngl
Wow I’ve seen you go from shooting classroom videos and so forth. To high technology editing. Over a decade of doing this and I can now see the payoff!!!!! Almost 900,000 followers. Always stayed persistent. You’ve taught me more than just math Brian!!!!
Im having to do a bunch of math after a hiatus from the early 90s. Most of my instructors have either been math nerds who can't understand why people dont live to do math problems. Or make it so dry or teach too fast.
Man you are a lifesaver I moved to a new school and I’m almost 3 weeks behind and my teacher has no resources for me to go back to so I appreciate this so much
6:53 shouldn't it be "as x approaches from the right the graph goes negative infinity ?????"why you said infinity which is the same as x approach from the left?
Just a nitpicky detail. When the left side and right side limits are not the same, the limit does not exist. When we put the answer down as lim = DNE, that's not quite right because the equal sign and DNE next to each other doesn't exactly work, because "lim equals does not exist" is not what we want, we want "lim does not exist". So I tell my students to blot out the equal sign before writing DNE. But, this is a great video I'll send to my Calculus and Pre-Calculus students. My Calculus students are having a test soon over limits and continuity. Thanks.
As someone who has watched your videos for more than half a decade, I gotta say, I am not a fan of this new style. Learning math hits differently (in a negative way) when it isn’t done on a real whiteboard, and is edited down like this video. The writing is much thicker in whatever software you are using, and it’s much harder to read. Since the video is edited down, you are talking/explaining much faster and so, the lesson is way harder to follow. Combine this with the stock background music you find all over RUclips, it makes everything unexpectedly way more boring and only serves as a motivator for me to click off the video and watch someone else. And again, that’s coming from someone who relied on you to pass my Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus classes. Maybe I am crazy with my opinions, but I figure you’d want to hear what people have to think about your new content, especially since there’s more of a focus on this channel now that you are not teaching in an actual school anymore.
Too fast. A very bad lecture and not funny. Loose the cut in scenes, slow it down and Have more examples. I mentally turned off 2 minutes in. Within 5 minutes I said too myself maths is not worth learning, the opposite of what maths is.
Hi Bryan. I don’t think RUclips is going to be able to support you financially. You are only going to be averaging out 3-5k views a video which is not even more than $5. Math videos like these will only gain traction after a long time being up as seen by your older math videos that got very popular. That’s why I think being a math you-tuber wont be possible for you in the long run.
Loving this new format, looking forward to whats to come!
what perfect timing I am learning limit and the lecture was so confusing thanks for this video
Agree

I just went from watching a 2016 video of yours to this one and the production of your vids have gotten so much better. Keep up the amazing content!
Brian McLogan, Thank you for your help you really helped me every time I needed it I appreciate it. Best of luck in the future!!
so happy to be there for you!
@@brianmclogan appreciate it
Smart man! This format is really engaging.

Wow I just started college calculus this is awesome.
loving the new production :)
Your videos are very easy to understand. Thank you!
Eyyyy you're back! I'm glad you didn't quit math! You and your videos saved me during zoom university! I was worried you'd stop making videos.
this man is a god-send
perfect timing, i just started calculus this year
Good luck.
I like the extra work put into the production
Thank you for this simple explanation!
I like this style of video Keep up the great content!
More to come!
Got it easily from you thank you
Thanks a lot for these great videos! Keep going!
I thought at 6:55 wouldn't it be going to negative infinity?
Yes it does I believe
Great video, this helped a lot!
Great video
you should make online worksheets with questions for practice or give a link to a site for it
3:06 limit x-> -infinity. f(x) = DNE. Can you explain the reason for this?
Super helpful!
What is the background song??
Not sure
so freaking gooooooooodddddddddddd
6:53 shouldn't it be "as x approaches from the right the graph goes negative infinity ?????"why you said infinity which is the same as x approach from the left?
I think that he did a mistake
at 6:56 I think you mean negative infinity?
Thank you!
What a coincidence that I'm learning about limits rn in Calc...

You have great me a mathematician I really appreciate can you please teach me.'probabilities,
You're still posting? Nice!
Yes I am!
@@brianmclogan Thank you for teaching me almost everything I know in math, you are my hero!
I wanna know if descete maths is hard?
I liked the strait forward explanation better without all the hoopla but still thank you.

NIce
can you make the music a bit quieter than what your talking about it is quite distracting for me
Loved the video but the sound effects at the beginning and music throughout is a little loud :)
1000th view!
“the limit does not exist !”
pls use a line size not as thick shrink the pen size
I thought you were done making videos
You're a bit heavy handed on the sound effects, good music choice though!
thanks for the feedback, evolving
