Much thanks and appreciation to you ! I was able to enjoy the movie thanks to your translations ...and this song just kept bringing tears to my eyes .. such a beautiful song honestly :") Made me wish i had written a letter to my future self when i was 15... well at least i have some hilarious and naive diary entries from that time lol... And i mean, i can still write one now i guess ..so :) Again thanks for taking the time and effort to share your love for the movie, the song and also Japanese culture .. some of the most beautiful movies i have seen are from Japan ! And lucky you !!! Getting to visit the goto Islands ..maybe someday I'll get to travel there too ..take care !
Love!!! Your beautiful and nice message today made me smile! I needed that, thank you!!! Happy Friday to you, Love. I am so happy that my video touched you in this way, and that you were able to access my 'private' link to my full subtitled movie. But Love, now listen, you have to promise me - keep that link private, ok? You can feel free to share it with any of your friends, but don't "advertise" it. Why? Because, when I first made it 'public', I received a MASSIVE copyright infringement hit from the actual producer in Japan. I explained back and forth via email with him that I was "enhancing" the movie by adding the English subtitles, but he wouldn't have anything with that. He told me "sorry, copyright infringement". To which, I nearly lost my channel. However, there's no copyright if I keep the movie "private", which is how it is now. That's how you were able to enjoy it. I spent about 3 months off and on subtitling it, and so it's kind of a labor of love, right? It was fun to do, and I learned Nihongo as I went along. Again, I'm honored that you enjoyed the movie and my videos. I agree with you on the beauty of Japan and her movies! I have spent over 125 nights in Japan since 2017 - 2019, pre-covid disaster. I can't wait to get back as soon as possible! If you are TOTALLY BORED wondering what to watch, you might want to tune in to my super boring tour videos that I produced each day of my journeys throughout Japan in 2017, 2018, and 2019. They are not "fast, glitzy" videos; Rather, they give the true experience day to day from the viewpoint of a "gaijin" American. Here's the first video of my trip out to Goto: ruclips.net/video/sDHBqP0ZYy8/видео.html Now that you watched the movie you will enjoy the 3 days I spent on Goto, I think. I found so many of the shooting locations from the movie - that was SUPER FUN!!!! And I had beers with the dude who loaned his piece of sh*t old pick up truck to the film crew for the main Sensei character of the movie to use in the movie! LOL It was a fun trip. When I was on Goto, I swear they hadn't seen an American in.... Ever??? I think so. I am planning a month-long trip to Japan in later 2022. Come with me Love! I'll show you the "real" Japan. Come along! Hey, thanks again for the nice message. Sorry my reply went long! I guess you really made me smile. Thanks!

Thank you so much, C He. Make sure you watch the full movie on my page, as well. It's WELL worth the 2.5 hours of time to watch a great movie. Great character development, plot is "believable" and relevant to today's world. All the things to make a great weekend movie. ruclips.net/video/BtDvO8tIPvk/видео.html&lc=Ugx63k2BijYQgwmtOZR4AaABAg
Thank you so much for making these videos for us!! I am grateful that I came across this song. As I am 15 right now, it really resonates with my struggles but now I can find a way to keep moving forward. Also the movie has touched my heart ❤😢. So thank you again for sharing this amazing film and song.🙏
Taniel-san, good morning from America! Here it is a quiet, cold, Sunday winter morning. I'm drinking coffee, and catching up on replies on my channel. "Hisashiburi RUclips"!!! I haven't been on RUclips much lately, as I'm taking care of my 92 year old Father and 90 year old Mother. They are a "handful", right?! Sorry for my late reply to your wonderful comments. So you found my "hidden secret" link to the "secret" video at the end of my video here? Great! I had to make that video "private", since when it was public, I received a RUclips copyright strike and it was removed. I worked two long years on translating that video back in 2018, and it was a "labor of love" for me - I wanted to learn the Japanese language, and I found translating every line of the video to be very helpful to me. I have now traveled extensively in Japan in 2017, 2018, twice in 2019, 2022 during COVID, 2023, twice in 2024, and am anticipating twice again in 2025. I added up the days now - almost 220 days in Japan traveling since 2017. I can now speak enough Nihongo to be able to interact well with Japanese 4 year old children! haha, ganbateru! I am super super super happy to read your comment, and to know that my video(s) have brought you some joy to your heart. This means a lot to me. Thank you. Again, sorry for my late message reply. Always have a "song in your heart", Taniel-san, and if you see me in Japan, I'll buy you a beer! Take care of yourself.
OH and Taniel-san, I forgot to say, "gomennasai" for the bad bad dame dame Nihongo translation in parts of the "secret" video that you watched; I was still learning Nihongo at the time, and I laugh at some of my early translations such as this one! You can watch my more recent video translations to see how much I've improved (like Aimyon's video I translated). MUCH BETTER!@ hahaha
@@LoveJapan No worries, It's wonderful that you still care for your loved ones and I'm inspired by your hard work of sharing these videos with us and your admiration towards the japanes culture. Once again thank you so mcuh for sharing these videos with us and continue to spread knowledge about japan 🥰.
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!! What a fantastic song, and yes, I too had tears! I'd love to see this movie, it looks like something I would enjoy for sure! Thanks so much for posting this and the terrific translation work!
Good morning Kim, thank you again (and again) for the nice messages, I love them! I rarely meet Americans who enjoy my "crazy" Japanese habits and eccentricities. haha. So I appreciate you! I am still not seeing all the replies in my notifications area of RUclips, but it seems like it's slowly improving. I don't know. Today is Saturday morning, and I have much work around the house to do. It's finally Springtime here in MN, so that is always an important time to "clean house" before the heat, bugs and humidity of summer. In terms of the movie, I may try to upload it again, using a clear "copyright disclaimer under Section 107" notification at the front of the movie. This notice probably doesn't mean much to you, but to those of us who have constantly battled with Copyright issues, it means a lot. But, my account has 1 copyright strike, and at three they close my channel down. I don't want that to happen. So I have to walk lightly for awhile. I will try to bring the movie back to life for you, though! Yeah, if you were here near me, I'd simply say "come on over" and we'd watch it here at my place. Since I have the original, after all! Anyway. I see you left me other messages! I will read them now before heading outside. Thanks again for the nice comment!
@@LoveJapan Gee, RUclips is much more complicated than I thought! No, you definitely don't want to lose you channel...it wouldn't be worth it. Yes, ugh, heat and humidity, we certainly have it here in New Jersey, but it's a quick ride down to the Jersey shore, for a dip in the sea, it's where I spent much of my youth! Don't work to hard!
@@kimemerson5732 Thanks again for the reply. I love the ocean. Hence my tattoo (shows Kim my tattoo). It's a seashell. On some of my videos you can see it. I always have to cover it up when in Japan. I had a busy work day yesterday and will again today. But, I'm outside in the sunshine, so that's all good. I am contemplating posting a revised video of my subtitled movie back on to RUclips. Not sure. Nervous. Kim, stay safe, stay happy. Stay healthy. I send you good thoughts this morning.
@@LoveJapan Lol, I think I did see something on your ankle...might have to go back and look! I feel awful that tattoos have such a bad meaning in Japan, but they must realize that foreigners don't have anything to do with the Yakuza or organized crime, and especially nowadays, they are the norm in the US! I heard there are a few hot springs you can visit and they will allow tattoos, but not many. Honestly, I don't think I could use one anyway, unless it is private, lol! I'm still old-school uptight when it comes to that Haha! I hope you got your work done, we had rain here almost all weekend, and it's been pretty cold, not good for outside work. About the movie, I wouldn't risk your account if there's a chance of getting in trouble... Have a good evening, still need to respond to your other responses, lol! I'll try later...we have THREE works conference calls tomorrow, one with the owners of the school and all staff, one on the laptop with video with us and the students, and another video call with the principal, vice principal, the school psychologist, and a few physical therapists and occupational therapists; it will be a busy day for us! This is fun, no one I know here has my passion for Japan!
@@kimemerson5732 Good morning, Kim. I am busy at the office, but I saw a message from you so I couldn't resist peeking at it. And of course, replying! As always, thank you for your great thoughts and comments. You know very much about the culture of Japan - Even knowing about the Yakuza! Another true story from me: I got kicked out of an onsen by 4 or 5 screaming Japanese old men, who noticed that I had a bandage covering my tattoo - they could see through it when it was wet, apparently. This was in Kagoshima. These kinds of things still happen in rural parts of Japan, but I am finding that sort of behavior less and less through the years. I am used to outright discrimination against "foreigners" in the rural areas, but lately the Japanese citizens and I have been commiserating about the totally rude and obnoxious Chinese tourists, who know little about Japanese customs, and could care less about manners. I always meet stern looks and discrimination with a smile, a slight bow, and a piece of American candy. This has ALWAYS led to shock, smiles, friendly chat. In many areas where I travel, they have literally not seen an American in years (or ever). You mentioned you want to travel to Okinawa. I have talked to many, many Japanese about Okinawa. You would travel there lightly. There is a true sense of anger against Americans, largely due to the US military there. Bad blood, lots of drunk driving accidents, rapes, even murder has been widely reported in Japan by US soldiers. And the US Air Force is building a new airport - but in the process bulldozed large tracks of land. It's a tough situation there for the US. I would be careful traveling there as an American - only in that you might have a few nasty looks shot your way. Note: This is NOT true in any other part of Japan that I have found. Just Okinawa. Local problems. Yakuza - another true story. I was far up in the mountains in 2018 above Fukushima visiting an onsen town. I was onsen hopping, loving it (you got to try it once, Kim, you just need a guide and thick skin - and know the social rules)! So, last onsen of the night a youngish guy comes into the onsen - decked neck to knee in enormous tattoos, so intricately designed dragons and fire and.... I never stare in an onsen, but this time I did. So after a bit, I fearlessly asked "Yakuza, hai desu ka? He turned, and we chatted in perfect English that yes, indeed, he was Yakuza. Fascinated, I interviewed him extensively - while naked in the onsen. It was enlightening. He was very polite and sociable. OH! I must get back to work. Coffee break is over! Good luck with your Zoom calls today, it sounds like you will have a busy Monday. Good luck! - Steven in Minnesota.
Love you, covcha. Por favor, disfrute, y realmente aprecio su bonito mensaje. ¡Te lo agradezco! Tal vez nos encontremos algún día. La música es universal, y puede unir al mundo! Have faith!
art_cher, good morning. Thank you very much for your nice message to me. I appreciate it. By the sounds of it, you are a music teacher. Fantastic! Keep turning on your students to the life-long gift of music. So so so. You found this video of mine. Great! You may, at your leisure, snoop around my Channel to find lots of other Japanese translations. However, so many of them have been removed for copyright; A fact of life for a translator. However, a video you might wish to share with your students, especially if they are middle-schoolers, is this one: ruclips.net/video/-kIugqbaYJA/видео.html It is the full movie of "Have a Song on Your Lips". But shhhh.... I translated it several years ago, then had 300k views on that video - then I rec'd a copyright hit by the producer. :(. So, recently, I re-uploaded it to a "private" video. However, with the above link you and your student can enjoy the movie. You will understand the context of this song so much more if you watch the video. As a musical teacher, you will certainly enjoy the plot. My recommendation is to stream it to a large TV, since I didn't make the subtitles big enough, I think! You can share the above link to the full movie with your class. Let me know if you enjoyed the movie if/when you watch it! Again, thank you for the nice message, sorry for the long reply. Have a great day.
You are so welcome! I'm so happy that you found the video; For sure, watch the end credits of this video for a link to another video that you will enjoy (I can't say what it is, I don't need another copyright hit right now!). Have a great day, and hello from America!
Well, it's because great songs can do that to you (and me!). Now, Rosuke, if you really want to tear up, watch the entire movie that this song came from - I subtitled it into English, and the link is at the end of the video. But it's a private video, since the original version was taken down for copyright. But watch the movie (on a big TV for the subtitles). Have a great day.
Pendragon and 4, thank you for watching and enjoying my video and my English translation. If you enjoy the song, you will LOVE the full length movie, which I did English subtitle. Make sure you stream it to a big TV, so you can read my subtitling easier. I loved the movie so much that I actually WENT to the Goto Islands last month. I visited most of the major filming locations of the movie: The Church, the school, the roads around Goto. It was SO FUN!

Yes, Fox, don't we all want to do this at one time or another in our older lives? Greetings from America, Tri! Thank you for your nice comment, I appreciate it.
Thanks!
And Love, I forgot to say..... "OH to be Juu go sai" again, right??? (15). haha, that was a long time ago for me.
Please enjoy my photos of my travels from Nagasaki to the Goto Islands, where I visited most of the film locations for the movie "Have A Song On Your Lips". photos.app.goo.gl/9mvkneuw84qziYMXA 映画「Have A Song On Your Lips」のロケ地のほとんどを訪れた長崎から五島列島への旅の写真をお楽しみください。 photos.app.goo.gl/9mvkneuw84qziYMXA

Muchas gracias por traducirlo y por compartirlo con nosotros!. Thank you very much for this!

Thank you so much for the translation. I can share with my students those heart-moving lyrics :) thank you.
art_cher, good morning.
Thank you so much for everything you have made here
You are so welcome! I'm so happy that you found the video; For sure, watch the end credits of this video for a link to another video that you will enjoy (I can't say what it is, I don't need another copyright hit right now!).
Have a great day, and hello from America!
idk why tears are falling from my eyes
Well, it's because great songs can do that to you (and me!). Now, Rosuke, if you really want to tear up, watch the entire movie that this song came from - I subtitled it into English, and the link is at the end of the video. But it's a private video, since the original version was taken down for copyright. But watch the movie (on a big TV for the subtitles). Have a great day.
I watch color full(movie 2010).... i'm thinkingh in "bad things"... thanks a lot, i love so much the song
Yes yes.. I came to this song because of the Colourful anime too. Wish you the best in your life.

Greetings from America, Tri! Thank you for your nice comment, I appreciate it. I am very sad that my full movie video subtitle job of the movie "Have a Song On your Lips" was removed for copyright (and I received a copyright hit). I put it back out there for me to watch, if you want the link let me know. It's now a private video. A great movie. Jya matane!

Don't share the link with anyone, though, ok? I don't need another copyright hit. Thanks!
In terms of the other song, I don't know exactly which one you are referring to. I am sorry! I only do these translations as a hobby after my work. It's relaxing to me. So, feel free to look around my channel, I have all kinds of translations there, and my daily Japan videos. Have you visited Japan?

Thank you for the translation, I really appreciate it. I haven't watched this movie yet, but I had heard this song from another movie called Colorful.
What is the type of this song called?
Amon, happy Friday to you from America. Hello. I received your nice message, thank you for this. I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed my translation, and the song "Tegami" or "Letter" in English. This song was indeed the featured highlight to the Japanese movie "Have a Song On Your Lips". I enjoyed this movie so much that I actually subtitled the ENTIRE movie a couple of years ago. It was very popular (over 200k views), but then it was removed for copyright. I re-uploaded it as a private video, so copyright hasn't caught it yet... ruclips.net/video/-kIugqbaYJA/видео.html There it is for you. Watch it this weekend. It's a private video, so you have to use the link there.
Now, I loved the scenery of the movie so much that I actually TRAVELED to the Goto Archipelago in Sept 2019. After you watch the movie, you might enjoy watching my videos of the days I was in Goto. It's astoundingly beautiful. Here's the first one: ruclips.net/video/sDHBqP0ZYy8/видео.html . You might enjoy them. But first, watch the movie!
To answer your question, I would say that the type of song is.... A ballad, I think? It's different, to be sure. Anyway, great to hear from you. Enjoy the movie, you will. Guaranteed. Then watch my videos of traveling to Goto. It's so beautiful. See you around!
