    What "made" Intel miss the AI boom was hubris and lack of insight ,(there's plenty of stories out there about Intel engineers wanting to design and build high-end GPUs, with the management telling them NO, we're going to integrate all our graphics chips into the CPU). Fortunately for Intel, AI is still in its infancy and there's plenty of time to catch up if they're smart enough to design and build high end CPUs, GPUs, quantum computing and the software to integrate all of them. All play different role in AI compute power. The sooner Intel figures that out and better off they'll be.

      Wrong ai is a sham and they correctly didn't buy into the nonsense. This is driven by a global slow down, ai stocks are gonna get what is coming when they plunge 90bpercent because of lack of an ROI in companies.

    That's a strange remark from the expert. Because Intel has a lot of imports from Taiwan semiconductors their input costs are high. But reshoring to the US won't make it cheaper, I think, because costs of fabrication in the US are still a lot higher than in Taiwan.

    Vivek is on spot on. INtel should spinoff their fab business instead of FPG's. Also Intel should look at their employees who is helping and who is taking care of their personal business, I have seen employees spending at ball games of their grand children with a laptop on them !!!

    Question from Taiwan: Why can this company get the biggest share of the subsidy from the Chips Act? and plan to lay off 15% employees?

    • @theditto69
      @theditto69 Месяц назад +3

      Good question! Government help, usually doesn’t help. Throwing money at a problem doesn’t translate to a problem being fixed. Use a million dollars cash to put out a house fire, see what happens to the money and the fire

    • @AlexNomadHuang
      @AlexNomadHuang Месяц назад +2

      @@theditto69 i mean... i can understand why American government gave the most subsidy to Intel ---- Intel is the only chip company with the ability to manufacture chip in USA. But what makes me confused is .... what Intel is doing (outsourcing chip manufacturing to TSMC, laying off employees.. mostly are manufacturing workers i assume, and cutting off the future spending... this might include the RD department )is not fitted to this reason!!! i don't understand this part!!!

    - None of these people talked about the hardware or software problems with the CPUs, be it for individual users or server companies. Now to be fair, tech outlets (like Gamers Nexus) did not talk about the factors these people did mention ... because they were not expected to.
    - They are still calling AI 'important', 'in high demand', and present Nvidia as far-sighted ...

    Uh.. when you have 4.7B in gross profit, I hate to tell them this, but that's a wildly successful company. The casino dropped the price by almost 30% overnight because that's how they steal money from the public. They don't steal it on the way up, they steal it on the way down. The public doesn't know what the difference is between a 91B company and a 123B company, well by casino rules, the difference is 1 day.

    Intel had such a headstart , it could have been bigger than Nvidia , but the company is going the Nokia way … destroyed by a management which is now behind the curve , this stock may not be worth buying even at 10 bucks , as the business is suboptimal
