if it can detect pressure and placement of your neck chocks, limb leverage and joint manipulation and help drill correct positioning for submissions then the only way is up with every new model
You technically can't drill takedowns from your feet on the Rollbot (yet), but you could put it in a turtle type position and work on recovering from a sprawl. The creator and engineer has showed me a way he has suspended it upright where you can drill takedowns. Maybe that will come out one day with the final product? Not sure as it is still in beta phases and constantly getting re-engineered. End of the day, I think it will always have to have some type of suspension to prevent constantly lifting it back up after taking it down.
That's the fun part though! Always gotta be on your toes now and be ready to execute your training. Plus the LED lights on the eyes would wake you up if it snuck in your room.
It’s crazy product, so cool and inivative. But how to know how long it will be useble ? If i have a problem with the rollbot, what happen ? If its really good, the price doesn’t shock me
It does not fight back but between the weighted ballast in the hips (60ish pounds) which keeps it well balanced and interactive, the sturdy frame which can hold my body weight from turtle, and the overall build with spring tension joints (which take a lot of pressure to extend/threaten), it feels real. When you are bar it, or knee bar it, or kimura it, the limb resists and tries to rebound to the original position which causes resistance
This is scary if people get too used to this thing they might forget when they’re training with actual people and hurt them. For professional fighters this seems pretty cool.
I thought this was gonna be a funny video with a guy in the suit
😂
Me too
Imagine if it collects data and learns every time you roll with it.
Not until Meta makes one
That's no doubt on the way
Of only it fought back, and had a setting for each belt color for resistance
I mean white belt and bluebelt is unpredictable, but for purple and up sure.
Idk, could accidently break you, would be pretty hard to get it to know what it is doing to you exactly
This thing looks so sick
i dont do bjj (yet) but i can only imagine how game changing this is
if it can detect pressure and placement of your neck chocks, limb leverage and joint manipulation and help drill correct positioning for submissions then the only way is up with every new model
Imagine if it started moving and tapped you out.
Also would be awesome if it could take elbows for ground and pound
Can you drill takedowns with this version ?

It looks amazing but at the current price point, it's not exactly easily affordable for your typical BJJ practitioner.
I am interested in this, but I think I saw a price tag of $4,800. That's way out of my league, I'm afraid.
I know. It's SO cool though!!
This thing turns on and murders you in your sleep.

Does it stop working at blue belt?
Let me know if the make one that fights back and adapts to your moves so the user has to learn new techniques...
Can I also practice oil checks? If so I have very long fingers, would that be an issue?
oh my gosh i need one

In which orifice do you plug the recharge cable?
It costs 4,800 and yes, I’m gonna save up for one. BJJ is life
Will it break if it gets fluids inside it?
3 months in and so far so good with mine!!
Don't cum and you will be fine.
does the company have public stock?
No they do not (yet)
What’s the price range?
Needs wrist springs
They do have springs in the wrists that are pretty strong. You can’t get a full bend out of it but you do get enough to perform a wrist lock
