What did you think after your first rip?
Thanks for the info on the brakes. Mine started squealing when I’m turning and hitting the brakes. I talked to the dealership but luckily it was when they got cyberattacked and told me to go the following week. Now I know I don’t need to go.
No problem. Mine actually started to go away around 2k. And I'm at 6k and still no squeaking. I think they just have a long break I'm period 👍🏼
Thanks for posting
No problem!
I’ll just say that when I purchased mine in the dealership I asked if there was a breaking in period and they said no and now this videos pops up and now I feel like I screwed up 😢
Dealerships don't know much. You should trade it in and get another one and break it in properly.. 😆 jk it helps to break in a motor to extend the life. You have to let the pistons set correctly and draining the oil gets rid of all the metal shavings. Best thing you could do is just change the oil as soon as you can if you haven't already. You'll be alright 👍🏼
@@teejaylc Thank you tho, I shouldn’t have let my dad and my brother step on it 🤦🏽♂️
@@tortoleromig7163😂😂 dont worry about it too much bro its a performance motor made to be beat on. Change your oil every 3k not 5k
Did you put it in sport or track mode. The throttle application changes. It revs faster
I had it in sport
Yes it does
Mk8 gti or GR Corrola?
This question is coming from a tride and true Toyota loyalists lol.
Probably better to compare to a Golf R. I can actually get a Golf R, and sometimes at a discount, which prices it right on top on, or under, an unobtainium GR.
@@KT_One you can definitely get a GRC now. i got a premium '24 at MSRP after only waiting 4 weeks in december here in the bay area
GTI is njcer and better for everyday driving, is a bit quicker than the gr too. Just doesnt have the looks or the brand reliability
@@RedrumCvmlcs yeah when looking i looked briefly at the golf R except then remembered that european reliability is an oxymoron
I personally have a hard time with that question. The golf R is way to over priced and I wouldn't get one. The gti would smoke a gr corolla if you made them both stage 1 or stage 2. Gtis have a lot more potential when it comes to mods and so much more torque. If you want to get tossed back in your seat get a mk8 gti and tune it to stage 2. But if you care more about awd and looks, get a GR Corolla. The Corolla isn't going to be the car to make a lot of power. It's a fun, good looking car that handles really well. I'll join you later on when I get a mk8 gti in the future to add to my collection
Break in period? lol? placebo shit clickbait man.
I have seen it all in the last year over and over the forum information is simply wrong.
Whoever watches this, the "621" break-in mileage is worthless and placebo.
"Extremely high speeds" means 145mph 24/7 or excessive wear, but track use is fine.
The car will continue burning off and doing its thing well into 5,000 miles on/off for clutch, brakes, and electronics.
This car smells of circuitry and new part smell and that's about it.
By no means, do you need to baby it.
Longevity on this motor will not be determined by the first 621 miles of your ownership.
If anything, change oil at 1,000 and every 5,000 after.
Change trans fluid after about 10,000-15,000 miles.
Transfer case doesn't need to be changed til 10,000-15,000 as well.
Color is not an indicator of 'wear' for those places in the first 1,000 miles as well.
