In Philippines the program only takes for 5 years fresh from high school, no need for undergrad degree yet they are at par with US counterparts.
This all sounds familiar; my husband is a PT and director of the DPT program at a university in SE Michigan. ☺️

When I was in school, one only needed a BS & then, it moved to a Master’s and now, a DPT. Glad that they have to get schooling to practice on ppl.
Dang! You become a DPT after 3 years after undergrad? Lucky! I took 3 years after undergrad and only got an MS in Counseling & then, had to do 3k hours before I could sit for my boards. Lol!
I'm 26 years old, I got a degree in exercise science. I don't think I have a path I love right now, besides exercise physio. I think I should look into PT school, but also gotta figure out if I need more classes.

I was seriously considering a career as a PT but after 40+ hours of shadowing I went and shadowed a different PT who after 6 hours pulled me aside and told me to reconsider because my fingers are too wonky. (They are double jointed, I can't get them completely straight and they bend really easily) I didn't even take the time to get a second opinion, I was 17, I think? I regret it. Things could have been a lot different.
What’s the difference between a physical therapist & a Stretching instructor?
I’m more interested in teaching stretches that help the body. Could be a 30 min session.

I got accepted thankfully in the biggest college in my country but I am not really sure if it is taken really seriously outside the middle east or not , and I don’t know why living in a third world country stresses me out … however I really trust the education system here and I am 100% sure our professors are amazing and wise, is this a valid concern ? If I want to work outside one day ..
