After my parents retired from the army we could see Bishop's Rock, Wolf's Rock and The Longships (from the attic) lighthouses from their house. Lying in bed in near total dark skies, watching the lighthouses blink was mesmerising.
@Martin Daubert If you mean the Bell Rock Lighthouse, I agree with you. It was built from 1807 to 1810 and is the oldest operational offshore lighthouse.
Mm three Irish lighthouses will be of interest. They all come under the Commissioners Of Irish Lights and are all now automated. 1 : Fastnet (way way out in the Atlantic and the most southerly and westerly part of Ireland). There is an annual yacht race done round it. It is known as the Teardrop Of Ireland (prob the last sight of departing emigrants ages ago). 2: Hook Head on the SE of Ireland and near to Waterford. It is also one of the oldest lighthouses in the world and opp it is Crook Head (hence the phrase By Hook or by Crook!). 3: Inishtrahull. Alto the most northerly part of (mainland) Ireland is Malin Head (in Co Donegal, in the Republic and where some Star Wars scenes were done), actually just to the north of that Head is this small islet, with a huge tall lighthouse thereon. And strictly even the lighthouse isnt actually THE most northerly bit. Just north of that islet is a wave- lapped rock, Inishtrahull Beg and that is the ultimate Northern part if the Emerald Isle.
weird that with earth curve for 20 miles is 266 feet of curve. you should not see it at all? research flat earth and discover what you see and stand on.
It's too bad that you did not include the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia!
There are some amazing lighthouses on the east coast of Canada.🇨🇦
First and thank you for these amazing videos 😊
Cảm ơn rất nhiều thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hello
🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Great video ❤
First I am a recluse and I know it and deal with it. I think I would really like being a watcher
Nope your 2 mins late
@@Ladies_Of_death what am I 2 mins late for
@@randlewhitney6560 yeah u are 2 mins late
Woooosh
🤔
Really disappointed none of the Michigan lighthouses made the list. Our state has 129 lighthouses.
I agree, I'm a michigander as well. Live right by the blue water bridge. Lighthouse Beach in Port Huron, Michigan
It's unfortunate people outside of the midwest don't realize how dangerous and how many shipwrecks happen in the great lakes
I love your videos you’re the coolest RUclipsr
Why is the bells light house not included

Lighthouses? now you're speaking my language! (rests oar against the wall)
I dream of light house.
The Bellrock light house? Portland and Bill?
Do you really think lighthouses on land pose any risk to their keepers? So ridiculous.
We live in a real world. At sea, nothing beats a real lighthouse.
