Over 3 Million Nigerian Workers Die Due To Occupational Hazards

  • According to the international Labour organization Reports for 2023 over 3 million workers have been estimated to have died from occupational accidents and diseases and more than 395 thousand non fatal occupational accidents.
    This figures has seen a 5% increase when compared to 2015. With the increase in occupational death rate over the years, Nigeria's Ministry of Labour and employment organized a two days Convention on Occupational safety and health Summit for stakeholders to promote a safer and healthy working environment which is critical for national development.
