This is my favorite Def Leppard track so far. The melody and the lyrics evoke portent and the solos are the most visceral ones that I've heard since "Bringin' On the Heartbreak". The band captured lightning in a bottle when it wrote and recorded it.
Great to see how this song has gone from being under appreciated to becoming widely loved as a modern era classic. Dual Guitar solo’s Dark, Eerie…..Joe sounds so powerful here. Leppard Perfection!
Andy McKinney it really is a great album, for sure. I'm not too sure why so many people shit on it. This to me was that last album that had their trademark sound. Anything after was mostly either too poppy, or too vintage 70s glam sounding (asides from a few songs). It's like they are trying too hard to sound like their influences now (queen, T-Rex, Mott the hoople)...at least here they sound like themselves. Highly underappreciated album here and it's a damn shame.
Have this concert on DVD. They were filming for TV over in Japan. I got the DVD release imported. Little blooper in the show within the first song or 2 Phil trips backwards over guitar cord falls on his back. Lays on stage and keeps playing for min before getting back up.
❤️🎶🤟🏻really love them playing here Paper Sun..beautiful song and love how everyone gets to sing their part and it all goes together..great job Def Leppard..🤟🏻🎶❤️
This is an incredible documentation of an epic performance of one of their best pieces of work. The one complaint I have is the camera not capturing Joe vocalizing before the verses. Otherwise, it really pulls you in and holds you all the way until you're exclaiming, "God damn!" at the very end as Phil gives the thumbs up and walks back towards the stage and the lights go black.
What a beautiful song. Wish it got played more. There is another song entitled Paper Sun done by the band Traffic circa late 60,s early 70,s. Equally as awesome. 🌞🌟
I love how def leppard tried to transform themselves into a 90s band after the Big Hair 80,s . They did well, new guitarist, Vivian Campbell meant a new sound without losing that traditional DL " Sound"..
How So?? I was the drummer of a touring/opening support band during the Def Leppard Euphoria tour called “Moon Dog Mane” w/Frank Hannon of Tesla. They nailed this song(Paper Sun)just like the studio album version night after night, as seen in this video!! Hope you’re doing ok during these INSANE days of TheGreatReset/NW0! God Bless You, & May God Have Mercy On Us ALL🙏
Being obsessed with Def Leppard and quite a few hours in RUclips brought me here 👍
Same love everyone in the band , they recorded so many albums in Dublin where I’m from and viv is from where my family hail in Belfast 😃
I ❤ these guys . They cheer me up when i'm down.😇
The best ever!!!!
Campell is so happier with Def than with Dio
Actually: my favourite! For all Times... ❤❤❤

One of their best songs - magnificent guitar work
Wish they would play this again. One of my favorite songs ever
jamie altman I agree. Euphoria is a fantastic album. I can't believe it will be 20 years next year since its release.

When I saw them in 2015, they played this and "Promises" from the album.
Agree this song and "Promises" belong on the list of Leppard classics
they just played this song again in 2019! it was amazing live go check it out!!
You can really hear the back-up vocals from the rest of the band on this. Such great singers in D.L.
Def Leppard, there are no words to describe perfection!
😅❤❤❤❤
This sounds like the old def leppard!!😎😎😎👍👍👍Rock on!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Breathtaking song, utterly epic!....one of the most under appreciated Def Leppard songs, along with "From The Inside" and "Wings Of An Angel".
❤️🎶🤟🏻really love them playing here Paper Sun..beautiful song and love how everyone gets to sing their part and it all goes together..great job Def Leppard..🤟🏻🎶❤️

Me gusta el estilo de phill,,,, el sonido q le da a la guitarra es unico
A most accurate descritpion of what's currently going on in Eastern Europe. I am literally in tears.
Thinking of you in Ukraine 🇺🇦 it was written about the omagh bombing in 1998
Best DF Song Period!!!
I love this time of def lepp 99 was like a new age yet still youthful
Great live version of a fantastic song. Probably the best song they wrote since the Hysteria album

Equally as awesome. 🌞🌟
This song is about a terrorist attack in Northern Ireland, killing many
I am shock that Phil is wearing a shirt all the videos he is always shirtless gorgeous either way
Seen them in 1985 at the Fresno Selland Arena. They rocked from the first song too the last

何故日本語の字幕付き
This song is about the IRA.
Jetfire1959 while that is true, its message is much more reaching.
If so wonder if Irishman Viv helped write it
heas whering a shirt
I think that venue needs some air conditioning.
This is Joe's Elliot best look.
What happened, doesn't look like Joe.
Love you guys
They aren't even playing this right....
