I've had this scooter for over a year now and bought it new for £600, I've got to say I am really pleased with it and I've used it loads and love it. The design is so much more practical than other scooters I've tried in the past, the range is amazing and the top speed is fully adjustable. I find the folding handlebars and short deck are really useful as it means I can wheel it around in shops no problem. I've found the longer deck and fixed handlebars on more traditional scooters make them difficult to wheel around in supermarkets. Long decks are difficult to get around the ends of illes and fixed handlebars easily knock things off shelves, I used to lock my old scooter up outside. Not with the Quick 4, I just take it in with me - and I've also found the wide deck perfectly fits a shopping basket. The short deck might not be for everyone, it means I've had to adjusted my stance and rest my back heel on the handle at the back. I then sit my weight back over the rear leg so I'm slightly crouched over it. This takes some getting used to but helps with stability while braking and carving when cornering at speed and also makes it easier to balance while moving at low speed.
I finally pulled the trigger on the quick 4 mainly based on your subjective experience/description as opposed to stats. I think I’ll love it. Thanks for all the thorough work with this scooter.
I haven't watched this channel in a long time. The quality (of the review) has improved a lot. Good job! And I must say, the scooter under review looks very nice. It would be interesting to see how it compares to the E-Twow GT, another high-quality, portable commuter.
It's hard to even capture on video how special this scooter feels in person. I still just want to stare at it, when it's sitting next to other scooters. -Paul
Wow! I believe this is the true golden era of ESG! It gets to include personal feedback from 2 other people besides the host of this review and including the personal Big Dawg approval by Ramier! This particular video is shot way before I even learned about electric scooters and even e-bikes when I was huffing and puffing through hilly areas in my regular, analog pedal-bicycles! Makes me appreciate the fact that I bought a decent electric scooter even before coming across this channel and because of this, my very next one will be your top-rated, recommended one! So far my favourite is the Speedway Leger or the Emove Cruiser if I'm looking for the ultimate cruise :) but I haven't tried the Inokim Quick 4...so who knows :) stay safe :)
@@Sc0pee yeah I have plenty of room on this deck for my feet. I'm not sure why the others feel it's too small, maybe they are used to having one foot all the way forward and the other foot all the way back. The deck is wide enough to have both feet together, side by side, or one foot slightly forward, and that is very comfortable for me. The smaller deck length makes the scooter length perfect for fitting in a car trunk.

The stability issue is also probably because of the small deck. What was going on in the designer's mind? I like to ride with my legs in a similar position to a taekwondo fighter, it will not work with this small deck. So I’m back again for the Swiss VXMAX2…
I have a Quick 4 Super and your review is somewhat incorrect. My scooter has absolutely 0 stem wobble. May be yours is not tightened. I got no clue but mine is just fine. And the other part about the deck being too small is really not true. Im 6 feet tall with size 11 shoes. When you put your left foot on the side of the folding mechanism there is plenty of room. And It also happens to be the normal riding pose. I guess thats how they designed it. I watched your videos before purchasing it . but when I went to test it the problems were just not there. This is by far the best commuter scooter.
So happy to hear that they have improved the design of what was already a great scooter. I consulted with the designer of the Quick 4 after our review to give him our recommendations. We stand by our review of the unit we received. All options were explored, including slight modifications. Ours still wobbles after adjusting. The deck, unless they have changed it, remains one of the very shortest we have ever tested. It works for some and not for others, but helps the scooter to be more portable. -Paul
The vsett 8 has very similar specs but is better quality (no stem wobble) and has a longer deck with a foot peg on the back. It's also quite a lot cheaper and uses lg batteries. I would be looking at the vsett 8 over this.

Ummm don’t get me wrong I like the display and the build, but for that price I’d expect a lot more in the power department and battery department which to me is one of the first things I look at when I look into getting a scooter.
Can you please make a comparison video between the Quick 4 Super and the OX Hero (the one you have)?. I think that it will be a great comparison considering the close price, but different categories of scooter. I am with the OX hero by the way and I do believe it's the better overall scooter.
Chuck definitely prefers the OX Hero. There is something I really like about the Quick 4 though. Mainly the way it carves corners. I keep coming back to it. The OX and OXO do have absolutely amazing suspension, and I love how the single sided swingarms look and how they make it super easy to change tires if you get a flat. We should do an Inokim round up one of these days like we did for Mantis. -Paul
I love your reviews. I just picked up one from the Inokim Shop in NYC and love it. There are downsides, sure...I never had an e-scooter before, so adjusting to the small deck was easy...

@Ancorarte I bought it from the shop in NYC. I think evening everything is sold online now. On their page. I still use it, but I bike more, now. Inokim has a physical location for repairs in NYC. They're made great and feel strong. They are much more affordable now. I recommend them. The quick 4 doesn't have much acceleration, but they're great all around. Check the ox or oxo
It costs $650-$750 here in China. I own the Light (6000 km now) and the Light 2. Very reliable brand. Not interested in a bigger one, so Light 3 will be next! 😏

well deck is maybe lil short however partly help situation this rear fender at which you can put shues ., however wide is very nice 22 cm mean you can cruise with 2 shoes side be side while in ninebot max g30 /motus scooty 10 which have only 17 cm wide is worse .not mention about xiaomi whcih have even thinner deck than ninebot max .
My idea of a perfect commuter scooter is a cross between this one and the Zero 8. Basically the overall design of the Quick 4, but with the solid back-tyre + front-tyre splitt-able rim of the Zero 8. The latter for minimized hassle with flat tyres, and user-friendly approach then you nevertheless h a v e to change tubes. And easy-to-maintain drum-brakes only. Far to little attention is given to user-friendly maintainance in these kinds of scooter-reviews.

Terrific review guys! The stem wobble is a concern for sure but the display looks awesome...you mentioned the grip and handlebars being solid...I'm not a fan of my Zero 9 handlebars as they get loose easily ...did these tighten and stay tightened? Loved the Ferrari analogy :) :) Also when folded was it comfortable to carry or was the shape cutting into your hand? I usually carry these scooters with one hand...but I loved the back handle for lifting with two hands when dropping it into the car's trunk :)

Nonsensical price! Why would I buy this when I can get the Zero 10x? Or the Dualtron Mini? Emove Cruiser? The bells & whistles are nice, I like the weight, but it feels like being shortchanged on the other stuff just for having it.
Emove Cruiser disc brakes are garbage. I set my friends emove scooter up when brand new and the brake will rub even when adjusting. After 1 year the Emove started falling apart
I just bought my first scooter, the Quick 4 and I love it so far. I am having problems adjusting the front brake. I did what the tutorial said but it is still not grabbing hold to brake. The other thing, is the top speed. I can only get it up to is 15 mph not even close to 25mph. What are some tricks to getting these issues worked out?
I can get this Urban Machina do about 1290 right now. I’m 5 foot 8 and 195 pounds and size 11 feet. Will this be too small (theoretically) of course. I have no preferred riding style as I have never ridden before.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thank you Paul. I’m trying to decide between this and maybe paying a little more for a dual motor (mantis se pro 18.2 ah or Vsett 9+ 21 ah. It’s a tough decision. Having it do well on hills and low-end torque is very important to me as well as decent water resistance. I’m told the new pro SE has a IP 54 rating and the VSETT is pretty decent as well. But the Inokim just looks so awesome And it’s such a good deal that I’m willing to maybe look past some power deficiencies and lack of ip rating.
That's a good question. Any list with the EMOVE Cruiser in it could also contain the Explore. I think we decided with OX over Explore because more people were cross-shopping those two. The Explore is a world class scooter though. -Paul
It's costs more than the Apollo Pro 52V ($1700) Who in their right mind would pick this over the Pro, Even if it was priced the same as the Cruiser $1400 i can't see any reason to buy it with a slower top speed, less range, slower acceleration, smaller deck, no indicators and disc brakes, It should be priced $1100-$1200.
My sister is looking for a scooter that is smaller and less powerful with a smooth ride than the full size cruisers etc. The Quick 4 is a strong candidate with great suspension, smaller fold size and far lighter. being shorter and smaller the size is preferable. low maintenance drum brakes and smooth thumb throttle are strong motivators for non mechanically minded buyers. it is very expensive but i think if it's the best fit for purpose then it's worth it. we're also considering the Zero 9 as an option but haven't decided yet!
@@para8D The Quick 4 and Cruiser both have a 600W motor, The New Cruiser has 1000W motor, My brother recently brought a scooter, He wanted something smaller than the Cruiser that he could carry on transport, so i told him to get the Apollo City, 25MPH, 39lbs, Just as fast as the Quick 4, lighter, better acceleration, and quicker up hills, front disc and rear drum brakes, thumb throttle option, Oh and it's less than $1000, Only real thing the Quick 4 has is 7 miles better range.
I have a Dualtron Mini, and I'm very pleased with it. It has a good top speed, climbs hills really well. A high quality fit and finish, a good size deck. There is only one drum brake (electronic) but it works very well. fitted with the EYE display, (considered the best in the business, by many reviewers). Another scooter I like is the (lower priced) Speedway Leger. Not quite as good as my Mini, but not too far behind
This scooter looks amazing but is such a disappointment, very small deck, small battery, low power, and stem issues...I would say they flopped big time and with this price its just an awful deal.

Yup, we tested it at 50.3 miles. Wolf Warrior tested at 42.2 so you know it is crazy long!

This just doesn't have enough Speed and Range for that price. Also that Deck is wayyy too small, no room for my feet.
I think they are going for speed and range at 47 lbs. But yea -- deck is a bit short for me. Paul likes it!

On my Quick 4 I noticed that peak instability is around 36kph and it regains a little stability around 40kph.
I hit my peak instability around 24mph...

Perhaps what we aren't understanding with the small and wide deck is that it's meant for both feet to be used side by side.
@spewsideways169 the brakes just aren't that good though! I usually have my front foot spaced about half a foot in front of the rear one.

It's true, the blade stem is a little wide to carry and rotates when lifting, but it's not too difficult. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

That's a good question. Any list with the EMOVE Cruiser in it could also contain the Explore. I think we decided with OX over Explore because more people were cross-shopping those two. The Explore is a world class scooter though. -Paul

It's costs more than the Apollo Pro 52V ($1700) Who in their right mind would pick this over the Pro, Even if it was priced the same as the Cruiser $1400 i can't see any reason to buy it with a slower top speed, less range, slower acceleration, smaller deck, no indicators and disc brakes, It should be priced $1100-$1200.
My sister is looking for a scooter that is smaller and less powerful with a smooth ride than the full size cruisers etc. The Quick 4 is a strong candidate with great suspension, smaller fold size and far lighter. being shorter and smaller the size is preferable. low maintenance drum brakes and smooth thumb throttle are strong motivators for non mechanically minded buyers.
it is very expensive but i think if it's the best fit for purpose then it's worth it.
we're also considering the Zero 9 as an option but haven't decided yet!
@@para8D The Quick 4 and Cruiser both have a 600W motor, The New Cruiser has 1000W motor, My brother recently brought a scooter, He wanted something smaller than the Cruiser that he could carry on transport, so i told him to get the Apollo City, 25MPH, 39lbs, Just as fast as the Quick 4, lighter, better acceleration, and quicker up hills, front disc and rear drum brakes, thumb throttle option, Oh and it's less than $1000, Only real thing the Quick 4 has is 7 miles better range.

can you recommend one for that price, or even less? i mean the scooter you would recommend for beginner, not willing to ride at top speeds.
I have a Dualtron Mini, and I'm very pleased with it. It has a good top speed, climbs hills really well. A high quality fit and finish, a good size deck. There is only one drum brake (electronic) but it works very well. fitted with the EYE display, (considered the best in the business, by many reviewers). Another scooter I like is the (lower priced) Speedway Leger. Not quite as good as my Mini, but not too far behind

I would pick Inokim Ox for durabilty.
This scooter looks amazing but is such a disappointment, very small deck, small battery, low power, and stem issues...I would say they flopped big time and with this price its just an awful deal.
