When faith is employed to please our flesh, e.g., naming and claiming our neighbours' cars, houses and things or naming and claiming things we are not yet matured to possess, our faith will fail. That is the essence of Apostle's exhortation. He is not saying that preaching faith is bad in itself. All blessings of God, spiritual and physical, need faith to possess them. The bus a church needs for evangelism will be obtained by faith. The money to pay the electricity and water bills of any ministry will come by faith. The last days move of God on earth will come by faith. To live a holy life, every Christian needs faith in God's word. To make heaven requires rugged violent faith. Indeed, faith is indispensable.
