I really enjoyed the first one. Listen, I was born in Portugal, 1984, I was moved to the countryside with my mom, after my father died when I was around 9. The thing is, I went to a somewhat "coastal" countryside environment here. All the tropes from Opera I've ever since learned? - THEY WHERE THERE in actual real life. Thus, I grew up with all of it, meaning older people agreeing with it and also younger people trying to break free from it. What I'm truly fascinated by is that I was but a boy or young teen (younger than 14) back then and yet I remember all this when I find this wonderful videos I didn't think were possible back in the day. I don't presume to tell humanity how to go into the future with the different values - I just feel that some of these Operas truly capture the historical truth of the time. If I am wrong, I am sorry. Regardless, the main focus for me right now is to make sure younger babies can be born and not feel any of the negative implications. I was sensitive enough to feel this problem. Can we do it 40+ years later after I was born?...
All renditions wonderful. Talent packed 30 mins. But I have to say, not taking away anything from other singers, to me, Pav just has it all. Power, range, expression, presence. Love him. And a giving yet imperfect man (and we all are) who was also unpretentious and genuine.
@@НиколайСербин-п8жYes he was. Everything seems to come out so easily without any effort. But it’s unbearable to get the next video to watch before he even finishes Nessun dorma. What a lack of respect from the channel !!!

Should have used Franco Corelli as an example of a tenor singing "La Fleur que tu M'avais" Kaufmann has the worst technique of any contemporary tenor ahead of José Cura. I have no idea how he is still singing, at least Cura knew when to quit and go back to what he does best is direct.
Gee, what a splendid ''Un aura amorosa'' by Piotr Beczala ! At least, a tenor who does not feel like he should scream every high note he can. Beautiful natural As.

Pavarotti sigue siendo insuperable.
I do think Spyres is better. His enunciation is better than near anyone else, and hes actually a very funny comedic voice actor (his homer simpson is *perfect*) so his version just feels a bit more authentic. Same with his All'idea duet with brownlee, you didn't even need to know the actual context and translation to understand the general idea. He was clearly scheming about something, and telling the count about it. And hes one of those schemers who is actually clever enough to pull it off, not a fool. Same with his Largo, actually. So many versions Ive seen, they could just as easily have been singing basically any other comic aria. I always like the good versions, like Spyres and Dimitri (i have too much dyslexia to even attempt that last name lol), where the singer really sings THE ROLE, like they are performing as Figaro, not just quoting a song some other guy "Figaro" sang at some point...
I've heard Le Largo performed by many great voices and have enjoyed them all. But I still have not seen the color and mix of emotions that I feel Rossini would have wanted.
Special breed of people with this kind of potential vocal few around the planet .. hmm wen I was a Kidd I used to run away from these sounds. Haa. Scary
I have a button I got years ago that says "The baritone did it." A friend asked, "Which opera?" and I said, "It doesn't matter. The baritone is usually the bad guy." Too bad, as I like the baritone voice better than the tenor range. Though I'm developing a sneaking admiration for countertenors like Anthony Roth Costanzo and Iestyn Davies.
Very good, thank you. It would be a good idea to make second compilation (at least!) , with some older stars (Corelli, Di Stefano, ...) and some forgotten ones (Domingo, Carreras, ...)
There may not be another singer like Pavarotti in a long time. One cannot even say when he was breathing. Thank you for the post!
This is up to YOU ❗😎
Oh yes there is! Jonathan Antoine!!
Listen to Stuart Burrows. His breath control was almost beyond belief.

Pavarotti for ever. The one and only. He had the voice of an angel.
and sounded the same whatever he sang. Beautiful voice but boring after a time.
Marie I think you are right.
For me,the best Tenore are are Mario Lanza and Jonas Kaufmann.
Mario Lanza are the king.❤

What a lovely baritone Manuel Lanza is. I had never heard of him but really enjoyed him.

Pavarotti o grande mestre
Ah, Pavarotti! One and the only one for all times!
There is no one best tenor of all time, but Pavarotti was probably the best promoted.
Ottima scelta, le arie più emozionanti!
Jonas K is simply the best. More please.
I agree completely!
That performance of E Lucevan Le Stelle blew me away. Wow!

For me, it’s Rolando Villazon.
Not too many Baritone arias.
Alfredo Kraus? Where is he?
you meant the 9 tenor arias and only one baritone aria, right? Come on, baritones deserve more respect than that
I have a button I got years ago that says "The baritone did it." A friend asked, "Which opera?" and I said, "It doesn't matter. The baritone is usually the bad guy." Pavarotti was stellar overall, but his sound could be so "flat or pinched" in tone, not pitch. Placid Domingo has a much richer, rounder tone.
Que hace en esta lista Tito Beltrán o cómo se llame? Habiendo tantos buenos tenores, Pavarotti es muy bueno pero no el único
Why only one Baritone Aria?!
Very good, thank you.
It would be a good idea to make second compilation (at least!) , with some older stars (Corelli, Di Stefano, ...) and some forgotten ones (Domingo, Carreras, ...)
