- With questions arising about the future of RFK Jr.’s presidential campaign, his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, sits down for an exclusive interview with Adam.
Nicole talks about a recent podcast appearance where she suggested that RFK Jr. may drop out of the race and throw his support to Donald Trump and explains why her campaign is passionate about keeping the Harris/Walz ticket out of office. She also discusses why the Democrats specifically, are afraid of the RFK Jr. ticket.
Then she discusses how she went from public school in Oakland, to a $58k/year job as a paralegal, to Silicon Valley royalty, and how the STEM lifestyle isn’t necessarily the healthiest. They wrap the show by talking about her obsession with listening to Adam & Dr. Drew on Loveline growing up.

I wasn't thrilled about RFK Jr.'s VP pick, but the more I listened to her give interviews, the more I admire her intelligence and honesty.

I am 42 years old. I grew up on the Colorado River (Lake Havasu"s county) and what Nicole is explaining here has made me realize that her addition to the MAGA movement is where I and my peers will feel represented fully! I am really grateful for this interview.
What some voters, never Trumpers, Independents fail to recognize is MAGA voters are different than the old Rino Republicans from Bush era . Our family has always voted Republican since 80’s with exceptiins here and there. We voted for same sex marriage years ago here in WA state. Looks like Shanahan was actually the perfect VP pick after all. She got so much hate when he chose her, but he was smart all along.

Nicole nails it on Obama. I remember when he got into office thinking, "Finally! A President that isn't a moron and can speak intelligently!" I've come to the conclusion that those who are the best speakers, the most persuasive, are the most dangerous and usually the biggest phonies. I didn't know anything about Nicole until the last couple of months when I started watching her on podcasts, and she's phenomenal!! I didn't understand why RFK chose her as VP at first, but I do now! What a great discussion. I really did not know anything about Nicole Shanahan other than she was RFK JR’s running mate. What a thoughtful, grounded and principled person. I do hope that if RFK JR does drop out that he does endorse Trump Vance. I think these people can bring a balanced common sense message to the American people.

Damn, I think this is the best interview with Nicole Shanahan I've watched. At some point in the past I saw something that caused me to subscribe to Adam Carolla podcast. I'll pay more attention to his show moving forward. Thank you Adam for an Intelligent interview. I'm part of the the Kennedy campaign. I enjoyed this conversation and it caused me to have a closer understanding of Nicole.

I was literally on a ladder painting an exterior at my neighbours HOA a half hour ago.
I ran home to grab lunch & have to relay the moment I overheard...
So most of the people who comprise the HOA of 8 cottages are middle aged to elderly & super liberal.
All very nice people.
One of the four, like myself is very supportive of RFK's campaign.
The other 3 people (women like myself) I'm not sure about, but I do know they have TDS.
Anyway, so I'm taping off some windows & I overhear the youngest of them in her 50s says;
"I don't know, I feel pretty good about it! "It made me *feel* so hopeful for a change."
She was talking about Kamala Harris's speech last night...
I typically would't say much, and I didn't yell, but shouted gently over to them;
"It was a lot of theatre that's for sure!"
No one said anything for a second so I finished with "I just happened to have started listening to a podcast w/ Nicole
Shannihan from yesterday. She points out ALL of the machinations they've been doing & all the *messaging* they've been planning for months."
Then I got down from the ladder, moved it to the side of the house so that I didn't say more, & tried to stop fuming at her lack of discernment.
What I really wanted to yell was "You bought that? time to turn on your bullshit meter."
The idea that someone could listen to the superficial platitudes giggled out with glee last night, and BELIEVE IT is beyond comprehension.
I'm surely no political brainiac, but HOW does anyone hear it & believe it without suspicion?

People are really lacking awareness of so much. If they knew for instance the illegality of what transpired during covid, they might have their feelers up, but everything besides shallow social issues has been completely hidden from mainstream media, so they think they are recieving all the valid info & having to choose between that. Of course the corporations at the top win nomatter which of the 2 you pick. It is really a mass lack of awareness and conditioning towards that for so long.

@@bjohnson0903 it all depends on what Trump does with his cabinet, he’s offered Kennedy and HHS position in the past but sold out to Pfizer for money, he also has not given Elon, tulsi or RFK a cabinet position yet. If he looks to plan on appointing neo cons I’m still voting for RFK because he will still be on the ballot in my state. Voting for him means that his party would survive and gain funding for the next cycle if he breaks 5% which is entirely possible.
I never heard Nicole speak at any length until this interview. I understand more than i did yesterday. My heart felt actual joy (not DNC joy) when she discussed farming. I didn't expect her to be so grounded and sane on issues.

I would like to say when I first heard that RFK had chosen Nicole as his running mate it really was a head scratcher. I must admit every time I hear her speak, as she does so eloquently, my admiration and respect grows. You're the kind of intelligent, thoughtful and well spoken woman who needs to mentor woman of today. I think so many are lost and don't know how to be comfortable in their own skin without hating on others. This is the 1st time I'm hearing her speak for any length of time & it does make me appreciate her more. It's good to hear her thought process as she discovers it's only because of money that certain people will talk to her. I like that she's solutions oriented as well.
I wish the tens of millions of Americans that are blindly red or blue would take the time to watch & listen to this. I have watched two lengthy recent interviews with Ralph Nader that were also excellent. Not comparing her or RFK with him, but nevertheless intelligent, independent voices.

I truly don’t understand people who would not even consider an alternative to a duopoly corrupt system that for so many decades are not improving the ordinary people lives. The brainwashing is really deep.
For the millionth time since May, 2023....
I'm a supporter of RFK Jr. In random order, here's some of my reasons for supporting RFK Jr...
-genuinely wants to heal the 'culture war' divide in our country, and he has the ability to, being liked by many different 'types' of people from across the spectrum of issues and ideas, who are tired of the 2-party duopoly
-has integrity, has courage, truth seeker in general, thinks for himself (not a DNC/RNC puppet)
-incorruptible, cannot be bought or bullied
-thoughtful and introspective, deeply considers problems and possible solutions
-vocal about the corruption of 'Citizens United' and the power of the big private money controlling government
-vocal about putting an end to corporate capture over government (Pharma, banks, oil, big AG, military industrial complex)
-wants to get us out of 'forever wars' and to pull back on and expose the corruption within the military industrial complex
-wants to pull back NATO and resolve the Ukraine war via negotiations with Putin, rather than perpetuating the escalation (which could truly lead to the most dire outcome imaginable)
-wants to bring the military budget back to 'Eisenhower minimum' and to instead invest that money in making us strong at home and in correcting our outrageous debt and growing inflation
-dedicated to rebuilding the Middle Class in our country
-dedicated to creating our country as a moral exemplar and economic force in the world, rather than as a militaristic bully
-vocal about the dishonesty and agendas of commercial media
-wants to abolish all pharmaceutical advertisements on television (this has major influence on the 'news' narratives)
-wants to keep the pharmaceutical industry honest with safety testing, transparency, etc
-wants to get rid of government assist crony capitalism and subsidies for big ag, oil, etc
-advocate for civil liberties
-vocally against censorship (will pardon Snowden and Assange on 'day 1')
-against mandates and police state-like policies
-classical liberal sensibilities with respect of others (without the 'woke' or fake identity politics)
-vocal commitment to transparency regarding FBI, CIA, NSA over-stepping and out-stepping
-would put the federal budget on blockchain to be fully transparent for all citizens
-passionate about environmental and ecological concerns
-passionate about investing in regenerative farming practice
-passionate about cleaning our food supply and exposing the unhealthy ingredients in processed 'foods'
-wants to bring preventative health more into public discourse; nutrition, exercise, etc
-will immediately close the border (this is not some republican scare issue, it is a very major issue - for many reasons)
-will send the necessary Asylum Judges to the border to expedite the process for legal migrants
-has an excellent plan to make homes affordable for all, including a program that backs mortgages at 3% and a tax structure to keep Black Rock from continuing to buy everyone out (this also will bring rent costs down dramatically)
-due to his family/background, he's well-learned from the inside of the various power structures
-due to his decades as an attorney successfully taking on major corporations, as well as government regulatory corruption, he is exceptionally well-suited for taking on the myriad of corrupt corporate capture over our government
*I wrote the list above many months before Oct 7, 2023. I should add, especially directed towards my brothers and sisters of the populist 'left' and populist 'right', 'progressives', 'libertarians', and people who are just antiwar, in general...
-RFK Jr. is in support of Israel (as am I). However, this in no way means he isn't also in support of helping the innocent people within Gaza. RFK Jr. has always been very aware of the conditions for the people within Gaza, and is especially aware of, and feels deep heartache for, the Hell they are living in now. He is a person who, as President, would do all he could to help seek lasting peace and prosperity for all in the region
-although RFK Jr. is a supporter of Israel, he is not a fan of Netanyahu, and has said repeatedly that he would not be writing him a blank check with American dollars to do with as he wishes
-there is no one who would fight harder or more tirelessly to reach out to everyone involved, as well as to leaders outside of the region, to try to negotiate and implement a sustainable peaceful solution for both the Israelis and the Palestinians. RFK Jr. would bring many ideas and a commitment to approaching the problem there from several different angles, and involving several other players. In fact, he would have been doing this before Oct. 7. (Simply yelling 'apartheid', 'genocide', etc is not in service of an actual solution - ask Hamas)
-and unlike anyone from the 2 major parties who supports Israel, RFK Jr. would never be lead by the corrupt (and disgusting) sheer financial interests of the Military Industrial Complex when it comes to any of America's foreign policy; including with Israel

You forgot his plan to federally legalize marijuana and tax it to fund healing farms for our addiction crisis. One of my favorite positions.
@@tristanphillips7275 it's one of mine too. There are many missing items on there. But summing up his plan in short, to an already lengthy list, is tricky. You write 'healing farms' and people get jumpy with 'communism' remarks etc. Best wishes

He makes excuses for Israel bombing Palestinian civilians. Says it’s Hamas’ fault. That’s literally crazzy. I like him in almost everything else, but I cannot vote for him because of his crazzy bias in favor of Israel. Also, he seems a bit naive about bitcoin.

Fantastic! Nicole was so maligned from day 1, and it’s clear why… she’s a smart thinker who won’t compromise her principles. She’s a rare gem. Hurts my brain that she spent that much money on the Democratic party. Young and foolish and an idealist I'm sure she was, but what a waste. My mom was a former Dem, and she called them crooks for 40 years.
She was married to Sergei Brin, co-founder of Google. She divorced him last year. That’s where she got most of her $1b from. Easy to waste it when someone else earns it.
You can see and hear in her that she regrets it more than anything in her life. This is an awakening before our eyes!
