Hey everyone’s!! Here’s Episode 10 of Jessica Jones! Aka 1,000 cuts. Without TOO many spoilers this was a really sad episode regarding the amount of deaths occurring and just seeing how each mess gets more and more complicated as the episode goes on. If I were a writer in this show, I wouldn’t even know how to keep up there is so much going on LOL

The mom was trying to leverage Trish's fame and influence to benefit her talent agent business. When Trish says "I forgot how good you were", it was right after the mom said "Remember Sabrina? She's looking for someone to endorse her bottled water division." The mom is selfish and manipulative.
You expect too much of her... She waste way too much time trying to speculate what's going to happened instead of watching what's really going on.
@@jpbenavides4969 Yikes, relax my friend. It's a reaction channel. They have to talk, or else it doesn't fall under fair use. It's hard to concentrate on the show and on providing commentary at the same time, so of course some things are going to get missed.

Trish’s mom absolutely does NOT just want a relationship with her daughter. She didn’t even try to act concerned over Jessica. And the only detail she gave about life back home was about Sabrina looking for endorsements. It’s more than likely she’s just looking for another cash-cow to make bank from

Don't judge a book by its cover i.e. judge people by their actions, not by their appearance. And Trish's mom appears to be trying to change.

I think our wonderful V wants to see the best in people, and might see more positivity than is actually there.
Night Nurse(Rosario Dawson's character) is the common thread across all of the Netflix Marvel shows. I love her character, and Rosario is perfect for the role!
David Tennant is one of my favourite actors of all time. Hes amazing in Doctor Who and Broadchurch.
He is amazing in pretty much everything...
I really hope people want you to continue the Defenders saga. You haven't even gotten to the best shows/seasons yet. There is so much incredible stuff yet to come that I hope we get to see you react to in the future.
Ah, I was afraid you dropped Jessica Jones, I'm glad you posted the final reactions.
And... never give serial abusers second chances.
Not only are there 2 more seasons of ‘Jessica’ and a couple of seasons of ‘Luke Cage’ (definitely different vibe - set in Harlem), but eventually there is ‘The Defenders’, which features Jessica, Luke, Daredevil and Iron Fist (yet another Marvel character in this group of series).
And it was not an anomaly seeing Rosario Dawson again. She appears in all the shows.
Obviously it’s a huge time commitment trying to watch them all, but they’re all really good shows.
This season was so good. The pacing was a little off at the end. It did feel like there wasn't enough time to set up the final battle, but I felt the same way with Daredevil.
All three seasons of Jessica Jones are good.
All three seasons of Daredevil are good.
One and a half seasons of Luke Cage are good.
Both seasons of The Punisher are also really good.
Iron Fist is also a show in this universe.
I feel like Luke Cage had 2 good half seasons. For me both season 1 and season 2 had a strong first half and then a sharp drop off in the second half.
Iron Fist season 2 was actually not TOO bad. It was still not as good as the other Marvel shows but it was a significant improvement over season 1.
@@chriswhinery925 David Wenham did a great job as a bad guy in season one of Iron Fist, I'm not excusing the whole show but I feel the failings came from the top with Iron Fist.. The accusations around Jeph Loeb would certainly suggest he'd give less care to an Asian centric show like Iron Fist..
I love this show so much. Jessica is amazing. She's gone through such horrible events, and she's been really hurt, but in spite of all that, she's still willing to help others, and doesn't let things break her spirit. Killgrave is such a perfect villain for her. He only cares about himself and has no sense of right and wrong. He was scary and evil, but was also fun to watch, which is so hard to portray. I really hope Jessica is brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe somehow. I love her so much!

You're not wrong exactly but she kind of does let things break her spirit and she's basically trying to block out her impulse to help others with alcohol. It's this weird grey area where in one sense she's indomitable and in another she's in pieces just trying to get through the day.

You mean morally? There is no such right and wrong, that's just a misconstruing of what morality actually is that we perpetuate as it 'elevates' discussing morality into unresolvable philosophical debate.

20:16 - Yes, Luke has unbreakable skin. But that doesn't protect him from getting a fatal or near-fatal concussion from a shotgun blast point blank to the noggin. The brain gets severely bruised and damaged from colliding with the inside of the skull with sudden fast movement. Great reaction video. Has been fun rewatching these with you.
It's kind of bittersweet to see Jessica and Luke like this. Like, it sucks that things are so complicated, since in the comics they're married and have a kid together and I just keep wishing it was a thing in this continuity (which is now the MCU? Technically? I guess?)
They are my favorite comic couple. Really enjoyed the recent run of comics where Jess met versions of herself from the multiverse.
Haha, I love that one of the most horrifying moments of this finale for you was the moment she gave Luke some NEW YORK CITY TAP WATER to drink. 😂
Which is wild, since we've got some of the cleanest tap water in the country.
@@ChristopherStLouis-xl1hk I was convinced by a friend who used to live in New York that it was kind of magic water, but looking further into it, there's high amounts of lead, a lot of toxic additives, and, a deal breaker if you're squeamish, vegan, or orthodox, microscopic shellfish that are added to eat mosquito eggs. I'd still want to try it, if they get the lead levels under better control.

Killgrave is one of my all-time most terrifying villains! Tennant was SO good as him!
Kingpin is one of my all-time favourite acted villains. D'Onofrio is SOOO good as him!
My favorite part about the last episode and the first season overall is Jessica and Trish’s sisterly dynamic.

Even during an emotional moment V never misses a chance to roast that river😂😂
This does indeed backdoor into the Luke Cage show, Netflix were setting up there own little avengers thing with 'The Defenders'. You'll have to finish Daredevil S2 at least to watch that
It is a shame Killgrave died in this season, he was so twisted and perfectly acted by Tennant, but then again it reached a point where he couldn't be left alive, his powers had become too strong

Great reaction. The scariest part of the entire series is that Killgrave is the perfect personification of a malignant narcissist. Those are real. They abuse and torture people everyday, sometimes for their entire lives.
and Trish's Mum is a great more covert narcissist. She reminds me of my Mum and it stresses me out a lot.

Trish’s journey throughout this show all three seasons is really good and fascinating it’s always misjudged tho unfortunately

Yup, "the best part is the characters" is pretty much the mantra for Netflix Marvel. I hope you will continue with them in order (more Daredevil next, then Luke Cage) as it all ties together. And although I'm only a little bit squeamish with needles I can't watch the eye scene either!
The first season of this show was epic!
One thing that most people forget about Luke Cage is sure his skin is unbreakable but that doesn't mean that a high impact, especially to the head, won't do internal damage even with unbreakable skin
jessica jones and the punisher are some of my favourite marvel series theirs a few tie ins between them and Dare devil and probably in iron fist and luke cage as well but i haven't seen iron fist or luke cage really hope you react to punisher though

Really wish they had been able to continue these shows. Fun fact, though, in the comics, Luke and Jessica actually marry and have a daughter together, Danielle. Named after Luke's bff.

The only thing I WISH they did was actually make him purple. In the animated shows, they don't really bother calling him Killgrave, he's just The Purple Man. And for the majority of the show, sure, that's fine, leave him normal looking. Makes it easier to deny he exists. But when they give him that final super dose, and his veins started turning super purple, I was SO hopeful they went all the way for the final confrontation and made him purple. But NOPE.
Amazing series though, super happy with it.
David said he thought that would be super fun for the first two days of set, but the rest of being sprayed purple would be sort of grueling

This was the launch for the Luke Cage show. Rosario Dawson's character Clair Temple is based off of the Marvel comics 'Night Nurse'. You pretty much know what Night Nurse is about. She medically helps superheroes in secret.
If you plan to watch all of the 'Netflix' Marvel shows, then do them in release order. They are connected to each other.
It's not that quite simple with Claire Temple.

Best season of the entire Netflix TV run. Kilgrave is the best villain.
Can you please watch Batman the Animated Series which famously is considered by fans be the greatest depiction of Batman ever outside the comics. If you want to do so please just look up the production order because the episode order on HBO Max is wrong.
Trish's mom is FAR more toxic than New York City tap water. Trust us.

I was sad to see Kilgrave killed off. I was hoping to see some more of the stories from the comics, like his association with Kingpin. I love David Tennant. I was lucky enough to get to see him on stage in Richard II in NY a few years back. 🤩And met him at a couple of comic cons. 😍

The Punisher series is good, although it's pretty violent, because, Punisher. The Luke Cage series is fairly good, although some episodes go on a bit too long. Iron Fist is, meh. When they and Daredevil all come together in the Defenders though, that was pretty good.

By the way, the chronological order these shows goes as follows: Daredevil s1, Jessica Jones s1, Daredevil s2, Luke Cage s1, Iron fist s1, defenders s1, Punisher s1, Daredevil s3, Jessica Jones s2, Luke Cage s2 and finally Iron fist s2. Ofc I would recommend you don't do all of them since it would take FOREVER if you do (Example: Iron fist, boring show many don't like and wouldn't mind if you skipped), however I really would want to see reactions to the Netflix's shows continue, since in my opinion they're really good, and I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me. ESPECIALLY Daredevil s3. But it's your channel V! So either way I'm still gonna support you regardless of your decision on the matter. Great reaction, can't wait for the next one!

A lot of people are going to rell you not to bother with Luke Cage or Iron Fist... Don't listen to them! Watch Luke Cage. Watch Iron Fist. Watch Matt, Jessica, Luke and Danny (Iron Fist) together in The Defenders. They each have a season after The Defenders (Except Jessica who has two) and Matt comes back later this year with a new series Daredevil: Born Again.

It's not surprising that Nurse Claire Temple is in this. All the original Netflix Marvel heroes were in the same universe and were bought into a single group called The Defenders.

lol. Your reaction to the idea of drinking NYC tap water made me laugh. When I was growing up, we'd visit relatives in NYC at least once or twice a year and, in those years, the city was generally acknowledged to have the BEST municipal tap water. It's funny - Jessica Jones is a fantastic show and I've really enjoyed re-watching it with you and yet the tap water thing is what really stuck out to me in this installment. 🤣

i really hope you begin to watch the punisher after this, i think its easily the best fo the netflix marvel shows and the whole story is wrapped up in the 2 seasons.

If you think Killgrave, the Purple Man is disgusting in live action, trust me, he’s worse in the books. I hope you watch and react to season one of Luke Cage and then episode one of Iron Fist and follow up with the Defenders. The series was described as the street level Avengers. They are slowly being integrated into the MCU.
If you can you should also check out season one of the Runaways which also features the Darkhold which is the book of the damned that Wanda used to learn more about herself and abilities. Should you decide to I hope you react on RUclips. Two more series from Marvel that you may want to check out are the Punisher and Cloak and Dagger. All of these were cancelled around the same time and I suspected it was because of Disney plus and it looks like my suspicions were correct.

I recommend checking out I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, might help you figure out the mom's character better. Rewatching this show through you, the mom character reminds me of that book
