The Nintendo DSi is a dual-screen handheld game console released by Nintendo. The console launched in Japan on November 1, 2008, and worldwide beginning in April 2009. It is the third iteration of the Nintendo DS, and its primary market rival is Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP). The fourth iteration, entitled Nintendo DSi XL, is a larger model that launched in Japan on November 21, 2009, and worldwide beginning in March 2010. Development of the DSi began in late 2006, and the handheld was unveiled during an October 2008 Nintendo conference in Tokyo. Consumer demand convinced Nintendo to produce a slimmer handheld with larger screens than the DS Lite. Consequently, Nintendo removed the Game Boy Advance (GBA) cartridge slot to improve portability without sacrificing durability.
While the DSi's design is similar to that of the DS Lite, it features two digital cameras, supports internal and external content storage, and connects to an online store called the Nintendo DSi Shop. Nintendo stated that families often share DS and DS Lite consoles. Its new functionality was intended to facilitate personalization, so as to encourage each member of a household to purchase a DSi. The handheld supports exclusive physical media in addition to DS games with DSi-specific features and standard DS titles. The only exception to its backward compatibility are earlier DS games that required the GBA slot. Nintendo had sold over 41 million DSi and DSi XL units combined. They were succeeded by the Nintendo 3DS.
Reviews of the Nintendo DSi were generally positive; however, IGN and bit-tech decried the console's lack of exclusive software and removal of the GBA cartridge slot, its added functionality caused many journalists to recommend it to those who had not purchased a previous DS model. Numerous critics were disappointed with the limited resolution of DSi's cameras, though others such as Ars Technica and GameSpot agreed they were adequate for the handheld's display. CNET and PCWorld considered the DSi Shop to be the most important buying incentive for current DS owners. Some critics believed the DSi XL was not an essential upgrade. GamePro and Wired UK, on the other hand, praised the DSi XL's larger screens for improving the gameplay experience and revitalizing older DS games.

Lmao I can assure this works as I just finished an assignment that was supposed to be turned in today at 11:59 and was able to finish it right at the last second thanks to this song.
Sitting on that menu with the 0 points, asked my mom to get me mario vs donkey kong minis March again and downloaded it. I still remember the excitement I had clicking on the little present on the main menu.

@@gauthereaumarco8943 Unlike the other reply, the reason Nintendo doesn't include music in their operating systems anymore is due to simplicity. It's pretty much a business standard to simplify anything nowadays. So instead of being nice and cheerful like their previous consoles Nintendo is trying to be more serious about their consoles, hence the fact Nintendo is also trying to get support from large Third-Party companies.

Gonna be honest, from what I recall, I never knew this existed before RUclips showed me. I swear I had Flipnote Studio but I never remember opening the DSi Shop 😖
That aside, absolutely loving this track and will love it for decades.

I had flipnote studio downloaded on the system by default, but also opened the shop sometimes _literally_ just so I could listen to the music
I never even played on this system or went on the DSI shop, yet when I close my eyes it still feels nostalgic. That’s good music right there.

To everyone who's studying with this music:
Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate.
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy
Reminder : After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

Man the switch is so lifeless, the menus for the wii were stylistic, the DS was simple but fun, and the shops had jazzy music and bubbly ui, even the menus and sometimes the startup had a jingle, then the switch, only colour is solid grey or white, flat and stale, shop has no music and looks like a news article. Business comes first now after we lost Iwata..

Not trying to make the Switch look bad but shop music and talking to friends on Miiverse back when that existed (I know it wasn’t on the DS) really made that time from 2004 to 2015 or so really memorable.
I used to think this was just the part of the Wii shop theme that was really far into the song. Now I'm finding out that the dsi had its own shop theme. That's pretty neat.
The dislikes were from people vibing so hard, they missed the like button.

This is best music to listen to when you have zero thoughts or anything to do.
I dropped my phone down the side of my bed, and this music was taunting me as I wriggled my arm around to get my phone back the whole time.
Hearing this brings me back to a time of pure comfort and happiness, somethingthat doesn't fallow me often.. I could listen to this as a comfort song for hours.
owww my past, this is hitting nostalgia, remembering everything, i'm 21 now, when i got my first dsi xl on christmas morning i was like 12, just using the default apps in it made me so happy in no time, hearing this and the other music was the same feeling again and again for years, then the flipnote hatena shutdown, my only social media ever while i was young, i learned so much from it, brought so many smiles during sad, gloomy and rainy days, and during those horrible school days that made me wanna just say goodbye i would go hide for a while and plug in my earphones and just vibe to different things for a while... our worlds gone to sh*t. I'm honestly starting to cry about it all rn, if i were to die and just remember all this i would be completely fine, although i never had anyone there for me going on here brought me so much joy that i never felt alone thinking about everyone else who was behind a dsi as well making and enjoying content... damn i'm super hecking sad now but happy too (╥﹏╥)
