    About Brittany:
I have over 22 years' experience in healthcare. Eight of those years were spent in senior living including serving as a Memory Care Director in several senior living properties. My work has included becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner, facilitating many support groups on Dementia or Cognitive challenges, working as a program director providing education on daily living challenges associated with Dementia, and providing resources and support to many families on their Dementia/Alzheimer's Journey.
I am currently in my Master of Social Work Program and employed at Mesquite Psychotherapy and Consulting as their Office Manager. Mesquite Psychotherapy and Consulting, not only provides therapy services for the community, also serves as a resource to senior living communities to provide therapy services in Austin and surrounding areas, for in-person therapy sessions for their residents.
My future professional goals include growing as a therapist to promote education and services to the mental health sector in healthcare to provide services to all older adults struggling with mental health disorders including symptoms associated with Dementia. I would also like to become a community educator and support group facilitator in rural counties surrounding Austin to support older adults and caregivers who are on a dementia journey.
