You absolute legend. When I was learning to fly this plane a while ago I was looking for dark n cold guides but they all just went over so much unneeded info and were incredibly long. This is straight to the point with exactly the information you need and nothing else, just perfect! Thanks my man
I just got this plane today. Looking forward to learning how to fly it as I did the A320. With that said your video tutorial was outstanding. You took your time and explained everything in detail. You didn't rush through it like a lot of these guys do. Thank you. I am going to look for your flight tutorial video so I can take my first flight today.
This was fabulous! Very subtle departures from c/d startup for Zibo 738 in x-plane but you nailed it and helped me immensely! Love the straight forward explanation. Saves time and promotes clarity! 10/10 on this vid!
Great work, no unnecessary info, straight through the process. Very useful to clear up a few things I was confused by. (Coming from the airbus it's all so condensed on that aircraft)
This looks pretty cool. I'm about to do my type rating in the 737. Couple things... I'm not sure on the merit of switching the standby to battery. Auto will provide the AC and DC standby buses with power either from the battery or AC buses depending which has power. I suppose other airlines may do this, but that step really is not necessary. Also, ideally you would wait IRL for 25% N2 to introduce fuel, unless it's stable above at least 20% (and you aren't getting more) and you're careful. Lastly, on the electrics, you cannot parallel AC power in the 737. Meaning when you manually select a new AC power source (APU or engine gens or GPU), it will automatically disconnect the previous source. This means that selecting APU gen switches to off is redundant and unnecessary. When you select engine generators on and the APU GEN OFF BUS light comes on, it means the APU gen is no longer powering any electrical bus. Even more lastly, it's actually only one APU generator. The 737 electric system is very ancient. The APU is connected to the tie bus which connects to AC transfer bus 1 and 2. That's what you're actually controlling with those two APU gen switches. This allows you regain two generators and power the off side system in the event an engine or its generator fails.
Yup fair. This is from an old checklist I had for x plane and adapted. I’m a flight sim player not a pilot, so don’t have the deep technical knowledge of why everything works, I just know it does :)
thanks, i was always disappointed what should i do, and your tutorial helped me a lot!! now i found out that it isnt hard to start the 737, thank you again
You don't need the standby power, you can start the L fuel pump or R and start the APU, you can then align the IRS and continue with the checklist, Also when starting the engine, wait till the No. Reads 25% before introducing fuel
Yup - someone mentioned the standby power a little earlier. It was just because this was an old X Plane checklist I carried across to MSFS. As for the N1 reading 25%, the fuel system wasn’t modelled to this level of detail at the time the video was made - you could introduce fuel straight after activating the starter.
Thank you for the video. I really needed this video for a long time. You go straight to the point howcome i couldn't see you before?!! Again, thank you so much.

Great video and very straight to the point! however just a snippet of helpful info for you, you don't want to set cabin altitude to cruise altitude. typically commercial airlines don't want a cabin altitude over 10000 feet which is why it is set there automatically. anywhere from 8500 to 10000 is pretty normal because its the altitude pressure being felt inside the skin of the aircraft.
Interesting! From the tutorials I watched years ago learning to fly the 737 in Xplane, you’re supposed to enter your cruise alt in this panel to tell the airplane what altitude you’re going to - so it can plan the speed at which to reduce/increase the cabin altitude (which is auto-set to 8000 and can’t be changed by the crew) during climb and descent. I’ll go find some documentation - have I been doing it wrong all these years? 😂

Also, in the overhead panel I have the APU bleed off and next to the APU bleed the two switches are in ON position and I get the BLEED TRIP OFF lights are on. Can you please help me with this? Thank you
Are engine generators on? They’re the switches on the outer edges of the generator panel to the left.
Thank you for tutorial 👍😊😁
Is there a way to auto start the 737? Kinda like the FBW 320neo
I show the options at the start of this video 👍
@@TiJayFLY do you recommend that I should buy it because I want to I just like flying planes that have a quick start option as I’m still learning the sim
@@ThatOneShyGuy04 if you can fly the FBW properly in managed mode, the 737 is a good next step
Hi again. so I have followed your tutorial which is very good, but now and again, I just want to jump into it and fly straight away as I did before.
So I have tried my best to get it back to fully running already and I cannot do it?
The best I get is it is running, but the wheels are down when I click on the map so I am already up in the air and the front door is open and the cockpit is beeping away.
I even tried CRTL-E but nothing.
So maybe you should end, or do a tutorial on how to get it back to the way it is first installed?
Cheers.
Spawn on a ramp, activate batteries, set the default state in the FMC to “ready” or whatever it’s called, then start a new flight on a runway… should work.

I recently got the pmdg 737 and the yoke is so slow (in game) 😢whenever I start up, any suggestions?
Controller sensitivity?
Nope
Nothing works, I tried everything and it’s just incredibly slow, if u have a discord I can send u a video
@@LuvvAviation discord is linked in the description, feel free to post a YT link in there
Any rudder is slow when I cold start it even when I got ground power
Engines are started yet when i use the throttle only my left engine works and not the right
Check whether the throttle in the airplane is moving. Could just be an axis assignment
I can't figure out why when I load at the gate. My 737 is not cold and dark.
You need to configure it to load in the cold and dark setting - see the start of this video :)
@@TiJayFLY How in the world did I miss that? Thank you!
Hi i have a question? What is a purpose of switching stdb power to battery? In some startup videos of real planes they usually start battery and ground power without using stdb power switch
Unnecessary, it was just left over from an old x plane checklist
@@TiJayFLY okay, thank you. Tutorial is amazing btw
@@TiJayFLY i acctualy have another question. so after switching on the apu you disconected the ground power using the fmc. Can i turn off the ground power switch instead?
@@antinetpl both - the option on the FMC is a simulator thing that physically despawns the ground power cart
Do you leave the standby power to battery after switch on the Apu? Thanks
@@ronloveflying yeah you can leave it
Hi i have a problem. So i downloaded the pmdg 737, and installed and everything went smoothly untill i entered operation center. I dont see ny plane neither in the operation center nor in the simulator. What is interesting is when i entered the installing program it showed my to repair, modify or remove meaning it is instaled. do you know what am I supposed to do?
@@antinetpl contact pmdg
Followed every step correctly multiple times but I cant get the "low pressure" warning lights off from the hydraulic switches.
Ground power was definitely attached, and you waited for the APU to start?
@@TiJayFLY Yup but I fixed it, apparently I needed to go in the maintenance menu in the FMC and service the hydraulic system.
@@TiJayFLY But thanks for the help anyways, great video!
Can you help me I got two questions one is whenever I start it up my rudder is moving very slow and also how to do turn off air stair teacher every time I spawn in it comes with the plane
Thanks
@@Hay1den air stairs are on the EFB I think. Check you have a nose wheel steering axis assigned as well as rudder axis
@@TiJayFLY the rudder works fine when I use it on runway tho
@@Hay1den yes but on the gate and during taxi you use nose wheel steering not the rudder
@@TiJayFLY how do I check steering axis and rudder axis

thank u so much!
Straight to point, no bullshit 👍👍
That’s the idea 😁 thanks man
My hydraulic systems say no pressure and i’ve tried everything to fix it, called ground services, they never show up, running ground power, checked for failures, etc. Someone help me.

How do I got back to starting on the runway?
@@Lor_Zee just select a runway from the world map
Does the flight plan in the world map carry over into this aircraft?
@@JamesBcfc1512 no, see my full flight tutorial for manual entry or videos by other creators for Simbrief
really great tutorial but when I remove the ground power cart it starts beeping at me and I don't know how to stop it
APU must be on, available, and APU gen must be on. If you’ve checked all that, please post a video in discord linked in description so I can look
my engine screen is black. how do i turn it on? 3:29
Are you sure it’s not just in a different place? Depending on variant and individual configuration it could be the screen above.
Every time I begin on a gate for some reason I begin while the airplane is on
If you watch the first minute of this video, it will solve your issue ;)
