    I’ve always been wondering ... when you are getting them dress and putting them in the casket .. do they still have their weight ? And also ... what do you guys use to keep them looking presentable if they make the funeral like weeks later bc my mom told me that if they make the funeral weeks later then they would be like an inflated balloon ..

    I attend many family & friend funeral much time. I have been always wondering a few questions
    -First why always leg are cover?
    -Second What if this person is way too tall for a casket then what? you guys chop their leg?
    -Third question. When you guys flush blood out your body, where do they go? Sewer?

    • @candicel7683
      @candicel7683  3 года назад +1

      1. it is how casket close and we just close the bottom half.
      2. no we do not chop off legs, (what would we do with them) and just bend the knees a little bit
      3.
      yes the blood in the sewer like a toilet

    Do those caskets come with memory foam? I'm looking for a nice quiet place to sleep when my wife is sawing logs.

      What do you mean "his own hand"? Did he commit suicide?

      @@padussia Yes, Daddy committed suicide on his 50th birthday Aug 8 1992 while sitting in his truck in his parents driveway. Drs said he suffered from guilt.

      @@winniethepoohandeeyore2 I am sorry that you had to experience that and have to live with the sadness. Depression and guilt are a horrible thing. It's so difficult for people to reach out when they are in such a dark place. Nobody really knows how bad they are suffering and how dark it is. I've had to handle my share of folks taking their life. I try to put myself in their shoes to see where they're at but there's so much going on in their brain and normally the person won't share much. Every walk of life has their own demons. I've also used what I've learned to deal with some of my own demons.
      God Bless you. I hope you have more fond memories of your daddy than sad ones. Kick the sad ones out if they ever rear their ugly head.

    Of all the (open casket) funerals I have attended, I have not seen anyone lying in one with their eyes open....That is a NON breathing human.....Maybe I will write THAT in my last will and testament:
    My eyes shall remain open so I can at least "see" who says "goodbye" to me, and who is actually distraught at my demise. Or, better yet, to show everyone I had or HAVE a sense of humor, position my body in the casket so it appears as if I'm laying in it "alive" and watching who comes in the room--maybe even prop my hand up as if saying "hello" OR "goodbye", maybe get some mechanical device to make it appear even MORE "alive" (to be "waved" at the funeral director's discretion?) 😶🤣🤣🤣
    Would like the theme song to the HBO show Six Feet Under playing on a loop during visitation hours?

    You said you put their arms to the side to get them in the lifter but aren’t their arms stiff?

    • @candicel7683
      @candicel7683  3 года назад

      As we embalm we postion the arms on the stomach. So they do stay in that position

    • @olgavillegas1363
      @olgavillegas1363 3 года назад

      @@candicel7683 yes I get that but you said that sometimes to get them on the lifter you put their arms to the side. So my question is, how do you do that if the arms are stiff and in a bent position? 😊

    shouldn't the head strap actually go under head at not neck

    • @candicel7683
      @candicel7683  2 года назад

      Not necessarily; the neck supports the head, and the straps can slip if you put them under the head.

    Are there many psychopaths who do funeral directing? It seems like the perfect job for them since they could concentrate on business only and not ne effected by the tragedy of it all. And second, are Mausoleums still where you get 100 years then they remove your coffin, dump your skeleton behind the coffin area, and put the next body for 100 years? Or does some law now prevent that? Or would your future kin have to decide to pay again?

    • @candicel7683
      @candicel7683  3 года назад

      I have not know any psychos in the business but that doesn't mean anything.
      and no here in the states, when you buy something like a spot or mausoleum you stay there forever

    • @JebidiahKrackedyetagain-xv9hc
      @JebidiahKrackedyetagain-xv9hc Год назад

      That is a little harsh utilizing the term "psychos" isn't it?? Even if it's apropos, you might want JUST a funeral director to be psychotic, and NOT, say....Your commercial airline pilot, your invasive surgeon, (even your PLASTIC surgeon), your armed law enforcement personnel, or even your grandparent's caregiver BEFORE one or both of them end up themselves in such a container????
      Just something to think about, because I'm fairly certain there are a number of "psychos" that are NOT funeral director's, or work in any capacity for a mortuary.
