Interesting theory, I quite like it. I do feel like it's more likely that the Space Pirates WOULD forgive Weavel for his failure, both because the the lack of verification that the Ultimate Power was real to begin with(which might have been why they only sent Weavel), AND because of the involvement of Samus Aran. While Space Pirates are TYPICALLY unforgiving of failure, I imagine that they may have an exception to that rule when the objective in question ran against Samus, due to how well she's handled even the strongest Space Pirates in the past. Even their STRONGEST warrior Ridley didn't stand a chance and needed to keep being resurrected and augmented after most fights. Weavel himself failed to defeat Samus before, and he was made stronger for it instead of being executed(probably as a test dummy for the same augmentations to be used on Ridley, but still). Since Samus was involved in the Alimbic incident, and Weavel fought against her several times, I feel if anything he would've been COMMENDED for not dying. This would also mean that we could get to see him again in Metroid Prime 4 when that releases. But I could definitely see Weavel falling out of his fellow Pirate's good graces later on, and getting executed by Kraid. Awesome theory!
It's a fair assumption, tis true. I do find the idea of Weavel being seen as legendary for encountering Samus and surviving pretty hilarious and rather plausible. To adapt a John Wick exchange, "I heard you failed to obtain the Ultimate Power." "Yes, that's true." "May I ask why?" "Because the whole thing was fabricated by a space demon and besides, Samus Aran was there." ".................Oh."
Corpse may look a bit different to Weavel but that there could be a reason for that. Super Metroid takes place after Prime 1, 2, 3 and Metroid 2. Since then he may have gotten more upgrades for his suit which is why it has a more shiny silver, more vibrant lights on the corpse. Nobody has noticed the body lacks the right leg. Weavel may have been caught off guard by the Gadora making him lose his leg from one of Gadoras shots. After that the Gadora aimed for Weavels head killing him which is why the body has half a head left.
how could that be? the timeline? ridley in prime was rebuilt because samus killed him. So he died, was rebuilt as meta ridley, died again and came back in organic form? did nintendo just mess that up?
Technically, canonically, he didn't actually die until Super Metroid. The other instances, he was severely wounded or else would have been killed were it not for the preservation via cybernetic enhancements in Meta Ridley's case, or cell regeneration similar to how he survived the invasion of K-2L by the consumption of others or by Phazon exposure. I don't think he necessarily lost all mechanical components, but it's possible he could have over time. Again, since he is able to regenerate cell tissue by consumption, it may be that over time he just shed those parts of him. Granted, it is a bit hard to believe he actually survived various instances, which is why I think of Ridley as a bit of a magician in being able to vanish and cheat death multiple times.
I dont think i ever got killed by the door even though fusion was my first metroid when i was like f*k'in 8 years old. The first eye ball 👁 door 🚪 was before the 1st boss. I recently watched a lets play and theres a fricken missile expansion before the 1st boss. I still keep forgetting it. I only got it once or twice in my life. And since its before the 1st boss, it makes a bit difference.
Weavel has always been my favorite looking Hunter I really love the idea of Weavel going Rambo and using Chozo tech to upgrade himself. I’m sorry I can’t get behind that he died to a DOOR 😂😂😂. The is the hunter equivalent to Elvis dying on a toilet.
🤣🤣🤣Well, if Sammy's energy is low enough, she would too--that's why I prefaced it with he was already heavily wounded by other enemies before getting finished off.
@@IzsakJoraszZ9 Weavel should be the redemption of the pirates. Lemme explain After losses, genocides, phazon, and the loss of all of their major leaders. The space pirates would be at in all time low. Even with the revival from MB they still lost and are now scattered throughout the galaxy. Then Weavel the once disgraced General would return and defeat the remaining leaders into submission and become the new de-facto of the pirates with a complete overhaul to their culture and strategies. First its starts off as rouge salvage ships then a whole armada ready to plunder and burn the galaxy. The redemption of the pirates would be complete and now the Universe would feel the fires of their vengeance.
Granted. At the same time, Ridley was also more feared and revered by the Pirates and given the title the Cunning God of Death--maybe the amount of times he's cheated death in of themselves is part of what makes him so revered.
Maybe it’s like a 2003 Baxter stockman thing even though failure results in death Baxter was WAY too important to kill. So they kept ripping pieces off of him till he was nothing but an eyeball and brain in a jar.
I disagree with your theory completely because of what the Galactic Federations says in the Space Pirate Homeworld, the idea of the Space Pirates fleeing to ZEBES only means one thing and that is that the GF have been there during that time period or have seen the space pirates fleeing to this location..
I do not believe so, no. From my understanding, he didn't actually show up in the Manga, though there may have been speculations in that regard. Plus, Richard Vorodi, who created the character, referred to Weavel as a he the whole time.
I prefer to think that the body was killed by Kraid himself and thrown through the door as a warning to anyone else.
Yeah, I'm not really sure why I didn't just think it could have been Kraid who killed him, which would have been less embarrassing than the Gadora.
@@IzsakJoraszZ9 I mean, "slain by a door" has the comedy value.

Ikr? In the room with Arachnus, there's a passage to an extra E tank I keep forgetting.
Woh awesome ending!!! Great theory!!!
In fusion in the prolog, theres other dudes in suits. Thats like the only time becides prime 2 & 3 we see others in suits.
