This is a review of the Garmin Vivoactive 3. This is a very solid watch that offers many features while also sporting a battery life of 5-7 days while using occasional Bluetooth and using GPS (10-15 miles) and using the Strength feature for several hours, but your results may vary due to your workouts and other settings you have selected. This watch provides notifications for many of your phone applications, and offers an always on display with various options for the back light. This is an incredible watch in this price range, and although it will not compete with the hardware and software of other smartwatches, it offers a simple interface with many features including water resistance (up to 5 ATM) and GPS tracking with heart rate monitoring. If you want a watch that will track almost any workout you throw at with that offers an always on display, long battery life, and notifications then look no further.

I’ve always used a heart strap with garmin watch for workouts but thinking of buying this watch and not using chest strap anymore. Do you feel like the HR is pretty accurate when exercising? Thanks a lot!
I unfortunately don't have anything to compare it to, but based on how it reacts to activity it seems to be pretty accurate for me, just make sure to follow the instructions to set it up correctly and make sure it gets an accurate reading!

I will paste a link below (content was just from a google search, I used the designated app to install which I highly recommend to be safe, as that's the recommended method to install), but as this is typically downloaded through the app store if you use "Connect IQ" and search for "GearMIn" you will find it! A side note, there is a "GearMin 2.0" which I think looks great as well, I will paste both links below. I think it is usually easier to download the "Connect IQ" app to download and install any watch faces and apps to avoid scam related downloads.

Can you use it for swimming( water-resistant and strokes track? )
It has a pool swim activity in the list of activities to track. Some quick research online shows its water resistant up to 5 ATM, and it won't track GPS swimming but can track pool swimming!

Hi, does it give you acurate coordinates? Will I know if Im moving if Im in a boat?
The GPS should pick up the location.
And show movement?
@zalle1 if you have a GPS activity it should show the distance traveled. I'm not sure how it would register activity or if it would.
what is the watch screen you are using so I can download it from the Garmin IQ Connect store ???

Hi friend. Is the glass easily scratched? It's not a corning gorilla glass, correct?
Hey! I will paste a link below to an article I found, it looks like the consensus online is that the Vivoactive 3 has cornering gorilla glass 3. I have had this device for almost a year and a half, I have run a few obstacle courses with it and the only issue I have had was the keeper (little rubber piece) on the wristband broke. The screen has a small scratch, and the silver bezel has some minor scratches, but overall the device has held up well!

It's a good watch but I wish it had an open water swimming activity option. I have to select walk & then edit it to swim in Connect & Strava later every time.
I love it for the price, I think the newer models will have much more functionality. For $100-$150 I think it is a great device.
What is that blue bar graph telling you on the right side watch at the 25 second mark?
At 25 seconds the graph at the bottom of the screen is the activity for the week, this is for a custom watch face I downloaded.

That would be for the "Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music". That is a separate device, feel free to look it up online! I will say I am not sure about the data storage, so you may want to look that up as well.
I have the vivoactive for 3 years now and I'm only finding out that I can change the watch face from another app... I feel so stupid now. Lmao
