    Do you make any drainage holes in those containers? I use milk jugs for winter sowing/cold strat outside. But the salad containers is a great idea for inside under grow lights, either doing cold strat in the fridge first … or for those that don’t require any.

      Thanks for the comment. I didn't do drainage holes for this particular experiment but I made sure not to over saturate the soil. None of the seeds germinated and I ended up buying a couple of plants from an online nursery. Those plants are doing great. hopefully some of the naturally occurring seeds will self germinate in my garden...

      No...I ended up purchasing 3

    Update- none of them germinated.

      I planted similar ones: Echinops ritro and a few germinated straight away and some germinated 5 weeks later. You can leave them in a place where they can germinate. Good Luck.

      So they didn't germinate----Did you give up or are they still trying?

      I ended up purchasing 3 but it was worth the experiment. sometimes you win sometimes you don't..

    You needed to cold stratify the seeds
