AirAsia X A330 Pair Seats: Kuala Lumpur to Gold Coast

Economy Traveller’s sharing our experience with paired seats in two different layouts of the AirAsia X A330 aircraft. One aircraft is the standard layout found on most AirAsia X A330s, the other is one of only two such layouts which are currently on lease. FYI, 9M-XBI is not factory fresh from the Airasia X order book with Airbus. It is an aircraft that was formerly used by Singapore Airlines, hence the more comfortable seats.
I flew on the paired seats once but did not enjoy them because they were too noisy for my ears and was unable to sleep! I usually fly in the quiet zone seats if I fly on Airasia X.
