I don’t wanna be disrespectfull because he’s your family but there’s a reason communist countries have to force the people and forcably educate people one why there way is the best. There’s a reason why free speech doesn’t exist in these countries. Having been to Russia I can honestly say you’d be surprised about how many Russians disagree with the government but can’t say it
At this point this isn’t about right vs left or capitalist vs commies. It more about globalist international clique vs right of a nation to self determine

Your uncle is smart, does think and articulates well! You are immaculate too. Communists do to some extent portray the voice of the working class through emphasising education and healthcare. However, that does come at the cost of freedom, individuality and financial stability. They feel threatened by competition which inhibits economic progress. I am South African and my father was a reservist in Namibia (which was called South West Africa) in the army during Apartheid when Fidel Castro sent troops to Angola.

I would also like to point out that the Latin Americans biggest problem isn’t the type of government we have free countries we have communist /socialist countries and the one issue that causes Latin America to suck is corruption and that was very strong under the Castro government. He did a lot of good but he did slot of bad any county where you can’t choose your leader is a sad one. Pr as a us territory should be the most successful in Latin America yet here we continue to see the fbi arrest corrupt government officials we see companies paying the government for contracts it’s really sad. That’s what I admire about countries like the U.S and Canada and some Europeans one. Yes you can disagree with what the government says but your vote actually does matter. Americans complain so much about corruption I’d advise them to live where we live and you’ll see true blue corruption
No DR is not socialist. A lot of ppl own businesses and invest down there. I only stayed at a resort in PP, didn't go to sosua or any of the other beaches nearby.
The political system of the Dominican Republic is mixed socialism/capitalism if it were just capitalism almost everyone would die of medication shortages
