We could have a ton of outfield depth if we sign Soto long term. Judge, Soto, Dominguez, Spencer Jones, and Grisham. Even if we aren't able to sign Soto, an outfield of Judge, Dominguez, and Jones, would be incredible. For the first time in eons, it seems like the Yankees have a rosy future ahead.

I rarely see Gleyber Torres get credit for anything. I've always loved the guy, and hope he's a Yankee for life. VERY underrated player. And remember, we basically got him for nothing, receiving him and other players for Aroldis Chapman for a couple month rental, then we re-signed Chapman in the off season. The Yankees have to keep Torres. Volpe is solid at SS, we'll see about Cabrera at 3B, and I really feel like Peraza has "bust" written all over him. We should've traded him, before he was exposed.

The fire this Yankees team is showing so far this year feels like a culmination of all their shortcomings in the Judge-Stanton era. It just feels like something is brewing…the mix of Yankees vets, FA pickups and young players coming up from our farm system. Also, Soto is always locked in, but he looked like he knew exactly what was gonna happen during the whole AB against Hader. It’s just wild to see that level of confidence in the 9th w/ 2 outs and a RISP.

@@jeremiahrobinson3745 all I’m saying is you can see it in the players that they look up to Soto. He stands out. The old yanks, the ones who stood out were the ones who weren’t very good because EVERYONE was an all star. Now…it’s just Soto and Judge (if judge doesn’t hurt himself walking to the plate) Judge is great. I met him when he was in the minors and he’s cool as shit. Signed my hat and took a picture and had a conversation with me instead of just hopping on the bus. I’m all about Judge. BUT when it comes to being the leader of this team, Soto has taken over. I know it’s early but watching these last 4 days, they all look for Soto for everything! You can see it. If Hal let’s this man walk to another team, the yanks are done for a long time. They’ve had zero fire, zero will to win the last few years and then here comes the fire they were looking for. With Jeter, on the mediocre teams toward the end of his career, he kept the fire in their asses to win, even when we sucked but somehow pulled it off. I see it in Soto. Was at the last two games, the ending to this game was incredible. That Soto go ahead single off Hader is going on the DVD. And I was on the verge of peeing my pants the entire bottom of the ninth with Holmes out there against altuve, Alvarez and tucker with two runners on

wouldn't even been a fleeting thought during last season.
    Let's take this momentum back

In Soto I'm seeing a power hitter who knows when to simply slap the ball for a base hit. Either to start a rally or drive in a run it's really game changing. I would love it if Judge and Stanton could cut down on their swings with two strikes to do the same. Just going with the pitch and putting it in play makes a difference. That's what the Yankees of the late 90's did!

The games have been extremely well played, they have been exciting and most of all Soto, Verdugo and Cabrera show swag...they are different than the old stoic Yankees. They look like they are having a blast.
Although a short sample size, this 24 team reminds me of the 98 team, they know they are never out of a game.
    What a fun start!

That wasn't just any old team they swept; that was one of the better teams of the entire '23 season. It was never a cakewalk, but this team fought and just kept cranking out base hits after base hits, and solid defense and it was enough every time. I am really hyped for this '24 Yanks season.
