showbiz and origin of symmetry are the best two albums they written, i fucking love theirs early alternative style. this is i think how they grew up, always outsiders but so talented. now they grew up with the media and become a great stadium rock band but i hope they will never forget where they come from... @@connormatthews522 Apparently they were looking for a fourth member to do the singing. Matt was just mumbling his lyrics while playing guitar, and eventually he became the singer by default. Matt was also self-conscious because he thought his high voice didn't quite fit rock music.

Yeah, Matt thought he couldn’t sing because of his high voice, then he heard Jeff Buckley and thought he would give it a try…..the rest is history!
