Do you always need to punch the 4 digit code in when you leave and want to lock it? My old one you only needed to press the schlage button and turn to lock.

I had the same problem. But i was wondering why so. When the door is lock. And you press the top button it should light up all the buttons blue. But if you press the top button and it let you turn the lock to open the door. Without entering your code ,The installation is wrong , when the installation is done right and your living the house you just close the door , press the top button and ,it let you lock the door without entering your code. Yes. As soon as you one of the buttons, the Schlage (Pronounced Schla-Geh, as in “get” without a t) blinks so you can see where it is. Press the Schlage button and it lights up blue for your night-keying convenience.

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
Is there a way to override new user codes without having to delete the old then add a new? I run an airbnb and recently found out all the user codes we thought we were overriding was actually just adding the new code. So all the codes were accessible to the lock.
Putting in a new code does not delete an old code--you can have more than one code. Delete each code you don't want manually, or perform factory reset. Which I don't have a video for yet. :)

I bought a house that has the same door lock and the previous owners removed the label inside so I cannot determine what the 6-digit code is and therefore, cannot program it. Arrggggh.

make sure the lock/latch goes all the way(fully extend) in the door frame. I had the same problem.

Yes. It's on a label on the inside cover. If no one removed it.

I guess you have to make sure you have the correct code--it can be changed. You may need to do a factory reset to the original code? Not sure.

It just blinks as a wrong code when i type in the programming code
Maybe it was changed. I haven't made video for factory reset yet ;) That's what I would do.

When I try and enter my 6 digit code it only lets me get the 4 numbers and it gives me the red blinking fail light
Maybe someone changed the code. Try factory reset. (I sign onto this account about once a year, the fact this response is within a day is miraculous).

I think there's just a little delay to give you a chance to reopen without code if you forgot something.
Or your bolt did not engage all the way.

Sounds like you have to reset the six digit code. I don't have a video for that, I called their call center and they talked me through it.
The problem with this lock is that you can open it anytime without pin.
Only press the shlage button .

Yes there is, changed it on this one. I think I called customer service and had one of their reps walked me through it.

The code may have been changed. You might need to reset it, I changed the master code on this one but I don't rightly remember how right now.
