What a great hike Eric and I loved the sarcasm LOL. Also, that bear statue... LOL, I can see how it scared you. And what were these two bears doing?? Who knows. It was a very beautiful forest and the mushrooms were great, plus, the views.

Yeah, it was a pretty stunning hike, to say the least! The way backup was definitely pretty tiring! I don't know what the hell those bears were doing, to be honest with you, lol 😆. But I'm glad they weren't real 😂. Thank you so much, Nicole!

Yeah, it was a gorgeous hike! I'm not gonna lie, but it was a little bit of a challenge going back up, but it's totally worth it! I was pretty tired that day so I'm not surprised mistook bear statue for a real bear! 😂 Thanks my friend!

A real nice walk with a bit of everything, nice to see the coastline but also nice to walk in the trees as well. I like a 'wave' walk, rather that a massive big up then steep down and never seen so many mushrooms growing on a tree before. I love walking over those suspension bridges, although Mrs Metalman hates then, especially when I start bouncing on it. I hope you never wasted a can of bear spray on the sculpture lol but whoever did it did a great job, cheers Alan

It's such an overall amazing hike! The mushrooms were really crazy! So beautiful was this entire hike! I like those kinds of bridges also! I am really glad it wasn't a real bear! 🤣😂 Alan, thank you so much, friend!

that was a real nice hike, amazing how tall and straight the trees grow and that was cool finding and crossing that suspension bridge (I've been across one too and they are bouncy), the views of the ocean were cool one could never get tired of seeing them, take care till the next hike Eric

After an overnight stay in Yachats I was on top of Cape Perpetua last September and the view is simply fantastic with changing impressions as the clouds move from the sea over the forest.

Beautiful hike! But did you get to see the amazing Cape Perpetua features like tide pools, Thor's Well, Devil's Churn, Cook's Chasm and the Spouting Horn? It is a beautiful area!

According to family lore, which I suspect has undergone some embellishment over the generations, several of my ancestors in Italy somewhere around 1890 met their early demise following a hearty meal of wild mushrooms.

Yeah, that's what I've heard that some of them are poisonous! You definitely got to know the difference! Thanks for checking this out!
