I'm 42 years old and it is so true that if you want a God driven relationship, you must be patient! As a young one (16 years old) my daughter was born. The girl I was with, I looked at as a woman. The boy she was with, she looked at as a man. We took an oath to one another that nothing would break our love. (so, we purposely had a child) As a "real man' I look back and see lust instead of love (the lust died, divorced) Because together we broke the laws of God! Therefore, there was truly never any love (God is love). Patience is the effect of love and love never dies! Neither does patience Mankind's patience is nowhere near God's patience

It's Tom'a only song to have gotten radio play! It hit #1 on Billboard for pop song and pop video. He got a plaque for himself and also one for his parents, who were in the video.

You definitely should wait and let the love find you. This old geezer knows from experience and heartache that when you push for a relationship and get into one because you're lonely you'll see right past their obvious red flags and get into a relationship with the absolute wrong person and not only does that waste precious time, but it can also leave you scarred and traumatized and could be the cause of future relationships going wrong and one of those people you push away for fear of being hurt again could have been the one true love that gets away.
Sorry to preach and give advise but as I said, im an old geezer and I've been through hell choosing the wrong people to open up my heart to so if there's one piece of advice that I wish was given to me when I was younger would be to have patience at everything and let life happen on its own terms. Only then will true happiness be achieved!

I believe it's not so much the actual music/talent he's trying to get people to listen for, but the actual words in a lot of his more controversial songs. Everyone has their own taste in music, so it's understandable that you don't like the style, but it's the message Tom is trying to convey that's important.
