@raileyryle Limitations *can* drive creativity. It's a common artistic philosophy that actually has quite a lot of merit, though I don't know if it applies very well to the vertical slab debate.

Someone with arachnophobia here, DO IT! Maybe the more that option is being used regardless of the reason, the more it'll be implemented in games
Crabs are just water spiders with no powers

You can't use guns in survival mode by the way, that's creative exclusive
I think for now, theres tons fo stuff thats in the game but just havent been inplemented in exploration or survival modes. Survibal mode isnt even available yet. The game is super EA

@wolfifurr Ye. Exploration mode is basically like the classic survival mode from Minecraft. Adventure mode on the other hand appears it'll be Hytale's story mode or campaign with more RPG elements.
We'll get them eventually, especially as theirs already mobs that use the musket/blunderbuss

Exactly!! Minecraft and Hytale are two different games. The only similarity is the blocky-ness. People need to stop comparing them.

its so weird seeing people who are used to Minecraft's default buttons for sprint and crouch. like, i always rebind sprint to Shift and crouch to Ctrl because thats how it is in like, literally every other game, Minecraft is the odd one out there

I bind sprint to q and crouch to shift, which I have heard is a bit weird. Then I have drop block on G since my q is taken.

I left shift and ctrl as they are cause in almost every game I play shift is always sprint and ctrl is always crouch, Minecraft is like the only game where those buttons are flipped for some odd reason.

It doesn't have unique weapons, accessories, boss fights, or NPCs. Literally, what about it is at all related to Terraria??

I feel like you need to get with Vintage Story too and look at the more technical parts of the 3, such as world generation and mob ai

The fear factor is related to the amount of knowledge you possess. We grew up with Minecraft, so we already know the mobs and their weaknesses, but in Hytale everything is new, so everything can be a risk, a death.

They do still plan on having some technical stuff but not like redstone, they want npc and create style automation in the future
Guns are only for creative, not survival
For now, as their is a mob that uses the blunderbuss. (Its found in zone 4)

I’m so used to shift being sprint and ctrl being crouch, every time I play Minecraft I switch them to that lol.
As someone with literally 100's of days IRL in Minecraft, it is really pathetic how vitriolic and offended the Minecraft community is over someone making a game with all the features they've been asking for over the last 10 years. What a simple and childish world you have to live in to be this hostile over a game no one asked you to play.
As a member of the "community", I can say we're not all like that. And I've been playing it for a long time.
I hear you, but from my observation so far, it's the Hytale players who have Minecraft rent free in their head and keep compare the two.
@syafiqibrahim7252 it's obviously derivative of Minecraft it was made from the bones of a MC server. The comparisons are literally to demonstrate the capabilities of the game. Hytale players, through my observation, are comparing and appreciating. Minecraft players primary comment I've seen is "no one will remember this in a month."

I have literally always swapped the keybindings for Left Control and Left Shift in Minecraft.
9:00 Currently, these portals only act as vertical slice previews to the game's World Gen V2, which is why they are timed. You aren't meant to fully explore them, just walk around and get a taste of how the game will potentially look in the future.

If you run out of arrows, you can pick up rubble and throw it. Only does 2 damage but its better than nothing.

Mojang had a good idea having restrictions on the development, but they went WAY too far. Seriously no furniture in MC is a rule of theirs? You can see why people are excited for Hytale, they're bored of being restricted for no reason.
to me i feel like the action and adventure that i was missing in minecraft is back in hytale

This game is a good rival
That Salvage Bench was the sale point for me. I've used it to recover some resources, and on crappy loot to boost my resource gathering. Definitely a great addition to the game. It just works for me and since you can do diagonals.. that and the roofs, its a winner.

you can do infinite water in Hytale by a making a waterfall, i found this out by accident, water fills downward in Hytale so if you make a waterfall going into a small hole, youll have infinite water, youre welcome :)

There is no automatic farm for now you even have to do farming manually and give the dirt water everytime you harvest the crops
