One thing I think most people missed is when the lyrics go "My-my name is (called) / G to the D, GOAT, The Living Legend". The part "My name is called" stand out to me. Called, like in a class, or a tribunal, or a plead for help. He is literally saying that he has been called for, all this time, by the police (investigation), the media (celebrity), by fans (legacy)... by everyone. He knows he makes a difference out there. He knows people are always watching him and everything he does. This adds a lot to the metaphor of being in a "Truman Show" thing. Also, the logo at the start seems to me like he is calling the duality of being both Kwon Ji Yong, the person, and GDragon, the artist. Both are always connected, and one can't escape the other. 유퀴즈에서 지디가 태양 콘서트 출연 비하인드 얘기하면서 자기가 청개구리라고 반골 기질 있다는걸 말했었는데 이 라인 보니 (청)개구리도 발음이 비슷한거 같네요ㅋㅋ
또 유퀴즈에서 신곡 소개에서 이 노래는 힘, 권력(power)에 대한 노래고 자기에게 가장 큰 힘은 음악인데 7년동안 제 3자의 입장에서 바라봤을때 특히 미디어의 힘을 크게 느꼈대요. 그래서 그걸 풍자하는 노래라고 말한 걸 생각하면 후렴에 대놓고 반복되는 power는 의도적으로 중간 중간 ’바보‘처럼 들리게 흘리게 발음해서 작년에 벌어진 억까 사건을 겪으면서 느낀 대놓고 의도적으로 선동하는 부패한 미디어와 거기에 쉽게 현혹된 사람들을 바보라고 돌려서 까는 노래라고 생각해요!
영어 할 줄은 알지만 이렇게 다 설명하기엔 복잡하고 context도 중요해서 제가 영어로 적기엔 부담이고 외국 팬들은 한국인들이 이런 내용들을 다 설명해주는 영상이 많이 없어서 답답할 거 같은데 항상 제가 좋아하는 가수들 같이 좋아하시고 잘 설명해주셔서 영상 잘 보고 있습니다❤
