Honestly, I spend time hearing quite a few (thank goodness) young folk who are the youth wave of jazz artists, and you and they are saving this genre from what had appeared to a quiet death. You are a solid and well educated/trained singer- songwriter, with a family heritage (we must not ignore your twin sister) of singing/musician genetics. There are a couple of real pluses with your life that are notable. You are pursuing the business/production of music, itself often a full time job. Yea you! And, you do something I have never seen a 23 yo do before. You talk! You add something at the end of a song, or just play an instrument quietly while you are sharing something.
