  • Welcome back to our channel, where we mingled (or mangled) a classic TV show with modern-day nomad life! In our latest, we've taken iconic 1970s show "The Mod Squad" to intro our RV Mods video blending old-school cool with contemporary tech.
🎨 Simple Upgrades: We kicked off our video with simple yet effective changes that Pete, Linc, and Julie would have given us a thumbs up or a "Right On".
🚐 Safety and Functionality: One of our upgrades was out of necessity. No broken out windows here!
📺 Tech Touches: Next, we installed some dimmers that allows us to chill out and get into the groove with our outdoor LED lighting.
🔧 Suspension System Overhaul: The pièce de résistance of our modifications is undoubtedly the independent suspension system. This high-end improvement wasn't just an investment; it was a necessity for ensuring our ride is as smooth as crush velvet, much like the seamless moves of the Mod Squad themselves on their undercover adventures. This system not only enhances the driving experience but also extends the life of our RV, ensuring we can keep rolling in comfort for years to come.
So, buckle up and join us for this Mod Episode!

Awww, thank you guys so much! We leave in 5 1/2 weeks for our next Camino. So exciting! 🙌🏼
Tension rods are the best, just like command strips they do it all! Love how you use them in multiple places! Love the dimmer switches, that's a great idea! We changed out all of our lights for ones that dim manually but I love the switches! The RV lock is a must, we love ours too! We need to upgrade our suspension, it's on the list! Thanks for the love, we appreciate it! ❤ Hope to see you see in person soon! - Michelle & Brian

That's true! Plus I think the word mod gets confused with upgrades or add on.

Nice work...the shower bar is awesome. We keep a laundry drying rack in our front closet and it takes up a lot of space there and when its fully extended drying cloths.

We have the extra rod hanging in our shower as well. It's great to hang wash clothes and anything that might drip on. We also have a shower curtain hanging. But I haven't figured out how to take our shower doors out. 😁 Lynn and Danny

We did the same thing with the shower in our Imagine when we had it. That sliding door the rig came with would never stay locked open for us. Soft starts are something we need to add to our AC's. There are some new units with soft starts in them. The newer Brinkley's ship with one of them.

I may have heard that from the Brinkley rep at the RV show in Louisville.Thank you for watching and happy travels.

We use tension rods in our shower to hang things as well. I’ve never considered adding a shower curtain, is there a reason you didn’t remove the shower door that’s there? Mod squad- 😂 nice touch! - Mike and Shelley

We didn't remove the original shower door simply because we didn't want to disrupt any structural changes of the rig and if we ever sell it. We want to keep the original equipment intact as much as possible.
And we never really even see it because when we pull the shower curtains back it's bunched up over the housing.. Thanks for watching and happy travels.
